Submit Your Character Name Ideas For Soul Calibur V Contest

Namco Bandai Games America is giving fans a pretty cool opportunity: it's the chance to attach their names to a character in Soul Calibur V. If they head over to the naming promotion site, they can enter the name of their choice, and their favorite weapon and fighting style. Multiple entries are okay and if one of yours is chosen, players all over the world will fight a character with the name you submitted. The only downside is this character won't be playable, so winners won't be able to fight as themselves. Anyway, you have until August 5, 2011 to submit your entries, so give it a shot. Oh, and everyone who participates will automatically receive a sweet Soul Calibur V desktop wallpaper. Just a little thank you for trying.
SCV is definitely one of the more anticipated titles of 2012; this series has never let us down.

as a soul edge game, it was okish.. I did love it, but nothing compares imo with the original Soul Edge and Soul Calibur 2.
Ive submitted my character.. I wanted a Chinese fighter! so I called him Yin Xu.. then the site said that I could only use the English alphabet (wtf) ..so I changed him to Okami the Japanese Samurai.. and it accepted it, lol.

Speaking of SCV, this game is going to be rad. My only minor complaint is the eventual loss of iconic characters. Looks like Taki could be the first comfirmed kicked out the door with that new ninja lass taking her place.
Regardless whose in & out, give the fans a solid character customisation & a deep range of modes & we will be laughing.
My soul burns for this.

You know what I would buy? I would buy Smash Bros vs. Street Fighter. Falcon Punch and a Dragon Punch in the same battle! But man, THAT's a pipe dream.
The page said that the winner would be selected randomly if there were too many entrants, so I entered about 12. Here's the one I'm hoping would win:
Name - Ultra Moose
Gender - Male
Nationality - Canada
Weapon - Club
That would make my day.
I like having finely tuned characters like in Street Fighter, so character creation is a little hit or miss competitively, but it sure is fun!
