BioWare: Mass Effect 3 "Best Game We've Ever Made"
Every time I hear someone call an impending RPG "one of the best games ever," all I can think of is Peter Molyneux and Fable.
But at least in this case, BioWare might actually have a reason to say Mass Effect 3 could end up being one of the greatest titles in history. Marketing boss David Silverman is doing his job well by promoting the potential quality of BioWare's third ME installment. After reminding everyone that ME2 won 150 Game of the Year Awards, he said the team has done a lot of research about what people like best. And the result would be as follows:
"We’re making Mass Effect 3 to be the best game we’ve ever made. That would make it one of the best games ever, and we’re hoping to see sales that reflect that."
And of course, the point of the interview at CVG is to prove that ME3 can indeed sell huge without "selling out." We believe it, but the hardcore role-playing fans will be the judge of that when the game arrives. Remember, BioWare, that same group had some criticism of your last RPG that, while still great, seemed headed in an unsavory direction. Yes, we're talking about Dragon Age II.

I don't expect much from marketing guys at all, but I'd suggest they tell us something concrete, what awsomeness they are adding and let *us* reply with "oh man this is the coolest EVER!".
Basically, what he's stating here is really nothing at all! Why even go out with such a statement? What's to gain from that?
Either these marketing guys should give us something *real*, like screen-shots or game details to gain attention, or they should simply shut up until they got that.

They should, as suggested, stick to concrete verifiable fact and give us screens and videos of actual game play of these things they feel make it the best game ever and let us, the gamers, decide for ourselves.
Sometimes, I think marketing departments write bigger cheques than the rest of the company can manage.

I even hate that last part of the quote above, about sales. I don't want any marketing guy drooling over my money!
Yeah I'd love to serve that guy my special blend coffee... With "YOU'RE FIRED" written all over the cup. :D

I'll just reiterate I'm not worried about ME3 at all, so far as I can tell it's the people who haven't played through ME2 that have any worry about at all about it. It may not have the depth of WKC but its certainly more of an RPG than FFXIII and has a lot more non-action traits like character development, exploration, and customization.

It all turned out to be untrue. Not in opinion, but in fact.

I played DA:O to death and liked it a lot, but was so not into DA2...they tinkered too much with an unbroken (mostly) game and I think learned something from the reaction it got.
From all accounts, as opposed to hype, ME3 will be epic and the gameplay that I've seen so far looks freakin' awesome. Definite pre-order for me.

what i notice with that infinite loading screen is that when it does work, the hdd light goes on but when it does the infinite screen it doesnt go on at all. the loading green disc icon stops for a bit and keeps going but it never moves on to the next screen. it cant be my hard drive because i been installing and reinstalling demos, videos, music, and game data on it and they're all fine. this happens either when i use the disc or the game trial download from psn. the messed up thing is without the patch, the game doesnt freeze and corrupt data. when i play with the new patch, it freezes like hell with corrupt data. i'm just wondering why its only mass effect 2 and everything else has no problem at all.
right now i'm stuck after the vasir fight or right after the tresher maw in grunts loyalty mission because it wont move forward from there. i want to keep playing but the game wont let me. i actually like playing it. my theory is that they tweaked the mass effect engine that the older ps3 model cant play it.

yeah, i made sure it doesnt connect to ea servers since i read that was a problem.
i thought about the idea that my ps3 is about to die but as i said, every other game i have played great. i even played infamous 2, a newer game, no problem. besides, if its a ps3 failure i would assume it would affect all games that i have instead of just mass effect not playing. i do get it to play sometimes after i play a different game, like a boot up disc but it usually gets passed the initial loading screen but freezes on the next ones. never had problem with elevator loading screens though. i'm getting stuck where theres a battle that goes straight to a loading screen afterwards. if i can save before the loading screen, i can just continue the next time i play. i know when its loading properly it lights up the hdd access light but when it goes infinite loading, the light doesnt even light up. i'm playing socom 4 right now and theres no problem at all, minus all the damn grenades everywhere. you shouldnt be able to refill grenades this easily in this kind of game.

i gotta wait till 1130pm to copy my game progress from cloud because of that stupid time limit crap. it said you can download your save data to a friends ps3 by using the cloud but it doesnt tell you that you need to wait 24 hours before you can copy the data. so if you unlocked some thing in a game and put it on the cloud, you gotta wait a day to copy it so its useless if you're planning to go to a friend's house in an hour or something.

I had the same sort of problems with Heavy Rain (and, so far, only HR). I couldn't get one ending, much less all of them.
Totally frustrating, especially with the locked saves and the 24 hour wait for accessing Cloud Saves.
I'm thinking I'll try to finish it on my Dad's PS3. If that doesn't work, I guess I'm effed.

hopefully it will be there most polished game too.
if i had a nickle for every 50th bug i found in ME2 id be a multimillionaire by now!
hell if i had a nickle for every 50th time i got stuck in the world id be a multimillionaire by now!
let alone all the times the game froze, i could walk through walls, cut scenes would not trigger, o and not to mention the countless freezes and which one corrupted my save data!
still freaking pissed about that!!!!!!!

no, no.
the loyalty mission for grunt for example, i had to replay that level like 6 times because everytime i ran up the stairs in the arena i fell through them and got stuck.
it was funny all my team mates could run past me no problems, i could also move around but i could not get up the stairs i stayed at the same elevation so i could not go up the top to activate the switch to activate the next round.
or even on mordins loyalty mission, after you have to choose either to destroy the research or keep it.
as soon as that happens a cut scene is suppose to trigger asking if your ready to leave, or stay.
but for some reason it did not trigger, i spent a good half hour wondering around trying to figure out what i was suppose to do then got fed up and turned it off.
then redid the mission the next day and finally got the cut scene and progressed.
