Red Dead Redemption Myths And Mavericks DLC Is Free

Thought we were all done with the Red Dead Redemption downloadable content, didn't you?

Nah. Rockstar still has to show their appreciation for all the gamers that made the Western gem a rip-roaring success. As revealed at the publisher's blog, the new Myths and Mavericks Bonus Pack will be "completely free" and boast new fan-favorite multiplayer characters. Plus, we'll have new locations for Deathmatch, Grab the Bag, Gang matches and other online modes. As of now, they plan to release the pack on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live in September. If you're still playing RDR - and it seems a lot of you are - this is a nice little gift.

So, when will we hear about a sequel to Red Dead Redemption? How's about a day after the official GTAV announcement? That'd be just...bad-ass.

I was shocked to find out Rockstar is still supporting this game so long after it was released, but I greatly appreciate it. Thanks Rockstar. I'll be picking it up.

I don't reckon they will make a sequel for red dead redemption. it was a complete story and for me it answered all questions.

not a direct sequel, but like GTA, another entry.

@worldendswithme
I was thinking it would be cool if it went through the ages all the way up to modern times, following the various criminal careers for the people of the Marston family.. I.E Cowboy's, Mafia (although not Italian, little far fetched), then a drug smuggler, and then a common street thug, nowadays.

That's nice of them, can't spare the space for multiplayer content though.

Nice R*! Still play it, still love it! More than a sequel i would like to see a prequel- pushing the player closer to the high-noon of the Wild West: No cars, less civilisation. More indians, trappers and settlers in waggons. Whatever they do, I'm sure it will be great!

Evevery now and then, I still pop in RDR just to ride my horse around and enjoy the view. I am glad to know there will be another DLC. Can't wait to play it.

DLC done right!

Even the Undead Nightmare was on sale last month for under 5 pounds, if only other developers were this generous with DLC.

I'm still in mourning over finishing this epic game. It's my favorite game of all time, and that is saying a lot since I've been playing vidya games since Pong came out. :D

Problem is I'm using a first gen fatty and I have zero room on my HD...all this DLC is killing me.
