Sample Madden NFL 12 Demo On August 9

The lockout is over and everyone is ready for some football. Good timing, too, as this year's Madden entry is right around the corner.

Well, the game won't be out until August 30 but you can sample the demo for Madden NFL 12 on August 9. As revealed at the official Madden blog, the playable sample will be available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; it lets you play one of last year's most important match-ups. It's the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field; these two played for the NFC Championship during the 2010/2011 season. The game will be set to 5-minute quarters, and you can see what improvements EA Sports has on tap for this year's effort. Remember, even though the rosters will be off due to the lockout, EA has a launch-day update planned to keep everything accurate.

We still don't know how Peyton Hillis landed on the cover but apparently, he's a big-time fan favorite.

I plan on picking this game up. I'm glad to hear that they finally upgraded the superstar mode. That's the best part for me. I don't even play franchise and regular games anymore.

exhibition games, franchise, season. The only mode I play is superstar mode.

Nice. I will download it. Ive been doing Madden 10 over the last couple weeks. I like it a lot. Though, it seems to me the ball carriers are just a bit too GOOD at breaking the tackle.

I'm playing All Pro. In the time I've played I've witnessed TD returns off kick-offs way too many times to be believable. Also, I know Adriane Peterson is hot stuff, but that guy just shouldn't be able to shake off 2-3 defenders like he's the Hulk.

If this has all the upgrades and fixes to franchise mode that it's supposed to, then I may pick this one up, Madden 10's franchise mode was so disappointing that I skipped Madden 11. Hopefully this time round it's better, but I will wait for the reviews this time.

I'm picking it up on day one, I'm ordering it from Amazon so I'm getting $20 off my next purchase. I'm going to use it on BF3 I think. (:

Peyton is on the cover because that's what everyone voted for. He deserves it, you would know that if you watched him play. Plus Cleveland has some of the greatest fans, they all love him to death. (Not directed totally to you Ben)

I'm getting the Demo, I always do don't matter how sure I am of getting the game. It's early access. This year is a huge improvment, sadly though it's what we should of gotten like five years ago, but if they make the same leap in Madden 13 then I'll be happy and they will be on track by Madden 15 comes out. But of course ESPN NFL 2k will be back then so what Madden has been doing to us up until this year will not happen gain hopefully.
There just isn't reason to improve when there is no competition. Well that's the thought EA sports had.

I hope they fixed all the problems this year, Madden 11 was so disappointing and frustrating. How could you release that?

Oh, And Football is back!!! :D (Lockout is over)

I can't wait to try the demo to see the changes they are going to make although i'll buy it anyway because it's the only way i can see the 49ers get to the super bowl

Looks like the 9ers are trying to pick up Asamuagha. That would be good, but they lost Takeo Spikes and Clements in this FA frenzy. Would have been nice for them to keep at least Spikes to help out P. Willis at LB.

I usually buy every madden that comes out. Unfortunately I ha to pass on 09 for the first time ever, and then again passed on 11'. But I won't miss this entry. Not after the Pack won the superbowl!

The FA frenzy is going to wreak havoc on the rosters for us realism freaks. 'Course with the new fangeldy online roster updates it isn't the curse that it used be eh? :)

I basically only play Franchise mode anymore. I was disappointed with last years version I barely played after forking out hard earned cash on it day 1!

Still I'm amped...especially being feetsbal starved for the duration of the lockout!

NCAA has been superior to Madden for a few years now... It'll be interesting to see if that is still the case. I haven't done more than rent madden since the ps2 days because of how awful the gameplay feels in comparison to its college-based cousin. NCAA feels like a decently realistic representation of football while the last few Madden's have felt like some crappy arcade experience.

Hey guys, I just wanted to pop my head in to let you all know that the PSXE Fantasy Football League is having it's second season this year. I'm looking to add at least one person (hopefully more) to the league before we draft.
