Driver: San Francisco Demo Dated
If you remember the first two Driver titles on the original PlayStation, you often wonder: "hey, whatever happened to the greatness of this series?"
Well, they did try to create more titles after Driver 2 on the PS1 but really, we haven't seen an official return to glory. Perhaps Ubisoft's new Driver: San Francisco will set a new quality bar, and if you're interested in finding out, you gotta check out the demo. If you've seen the new OPM, you know the date: the sample will be up on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade on August 17. This demo will let you try The Escapist mode, where you have to elude the police with a VIP passenger. Plus, you can see a new feature called Prove It, where you perform stunts and tricks during a chase; doing so nets you big benefits, supposedly. We have high hopes for the game.
Driver: San Francisco is scheduled to release on September 6, so we'll get a chance to test it out a good three weeks before it arrives.

have to wonder though whats the point releasing the demo 2 weeks before release?
what happened to the good old days where demos came out month or months before release?
no thanks, ill be waiting for the reviews to come in, and if there decent hopefully my blockbuster does not decide to wait a few months before ordering new games in.
could not believe they still have not ordered any games from may yet!
i wanted to rent LA Noire so i could try out the DLC, but the guy told me the manager has not put in a order for the last 2 months.
whats the point of running a rental store if your only going to rent 3+ month old stuff?

I'll most likely await reviews on this game, but then again, not all reviews can be trusted.
I had more fun with Duke Nukem Forever than I've had with any CoD, no kidding!! And review scores for Duke were faaaar lower than CoD's, and with good reason!! The shooting mechanics and enemy Ai, level design and graphics were pretty lousy compared to modern day shooters, but damn if the game itself wasn't a helluva notta fun to play!! (especailly the strip club with all the minigames inside and item fetching quest for your private hooker!! :P)

When I play the demo I'm not going to be using that feature. I'm going to drive the best I can avoiding messing up my ride like you should.
And it looks like they put a lot of time in this feature too. Well that sucks.
I'm going to play the demo, but right now I'm have no plans on getting it. Which sucks a lot because I loved this franchise. Sucks they tried to go a different path with it..
