Grasshopper Debuts Black Knight Sword For PSN, XBLA
If Lollipop Chainsaw isn't your thing, maybe you'll be more into another of Grasshopper Manufacture's projects:
It's called Black Knight Sword, and Grasshopper sound director Akira Yamaoka presented this new downloadable effort at GamesCom 2011. It's a 2D side-scrolling action platformer, and it should arrive for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live service in "January or February 2012." Yamaoka said the game gets much of its inspiration "from children's story books or puppet theater," which is very intriguing. At the same time, though, this game is most certainly not for kids. Grasshopper and Co. aren't into that, really.
Yamaoka added that the gameplay will be familiar to anyone who remembers the good ol' days of side-scrolling entertainment. Lastly, you should know that while the game is being developed at Grasshopper Manufacture, it's set to be published in Europe by Digital Reality. We'll be looking forward to this downloadable adventure next year, that's for sure.

I suppose it was easy to see this coming with the 2D stuff in Shadows of the Damned, but this looks way better.
