PS3 Brings You Into The Game With NFL Sunday Ticket
Football season is almost here (no, I don't count the preseason), and pigskin fans are gonna need their weekly fix.
And this year, you'll just need to switch on your PlayStation 3. In addition to other sports-related services (MLB.TV, NHL GameCenter), Sony has now teamed up with DirecTV to deliver NFL Sunday Ticket through the PlayStation Network. If you don't have DirecTV at home, you can still have access to "every out-of-market NFL game each Sunday all season long." Each of them will be displayed in glorious 1080p, which is always a huge bonus. Also, if you're a little hyper and can't seem to settle on one game, you can always utilize Red Zone Channel, which picks out the most exciting games and throws 'em in your direction.
However, you'll have to shell out for this one. NFL Sunday Ticket on the PS3 will run you $340 for the entire season, and that's a good deal higher than the $180 for the NHL service and the $120 for MLB.TV. If you're already a DirecTV subscriber, you can add the NFL fun to your PS3 for an extra $50. Well, the die-hard football fans won't be denied, right?

I rarely had personal contact with him as I was too far down the totem pole as one of his Blackjack dealers at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic city.
But he walked away from it, and after a fight between 2 rival bidding groups, the courts awarded the New Jersey Trump casinos to the casino's bondholder group earlier this year.
And those a-holes laid off all of us day-1 employees(now known as the Mothers Day Massacre II)just so they could replace us with dirt-cheap part-timers & seasonal help, and all without paying them medical, vacation, or any other benefits.
I wish Donald never left, cause after 21 years of faithful service to the Taj, getting laid-off is all I wound up with for all my loyalty.
Yeah, color me bitter!

Also I can't imagine anyone that already has the service shelling out an extra $50 just so they can view it on their PS3.

Shameless Plug: We still need people to join the PSXE Fantasy Football League. You don't need to have had any fantasy experience to join (everybody in the league was a newbie last year and we can help you through the basics). If you have any interest in joining please visit the NFL thread in the forums (linked below). Go Packers. http://www.psxextremeforums.com/off-topic-forum/12888-2011-nfl-thread.html

For Slugga: All of our league communication has occured in the forum so it's still there to be read if you need to know every juicy detail. But here's the short version. I started the league last season kind of on a whim. There were 6 of us and we were playing a shortened season (so it wasn't necessarily your typical Fantasy experience which usually features twice as many teams). But almost all of our 6 were first time FF players. Basically it gave us all a extra reason to love football each Sunday, and because we were already part of a community we had quite a bit of discussion throughout the week. We're friendly but competitive. I'd say year one was a huge success. This year we lost one member (who basically bailed 3/4 of the way through last season) and are now down to five. I would like to get up to at least 8 teams but am willing to play with as many as I can muster. I don't like putting my email address on comment sections like this. If you can't figure out your forum stuff, you can contact me on PSN as well (or risk putting up your email, I can edit it out later). My PSN name is SHADOWsoldier- .

mma its way more popular than boxing right now, why you think alot of people switching over to mma than boxing. Boxing hasn't had a good event since tyson was fighting. Mayweather jr and Manny pacquiao pretty much the only fighter even worth watching now.

I see you're a bit more educated about the topic I'm on my iPhone so to sum it up: other sports have been around far longer than mma and mma is expanding at an exponential rate. Look at the PPV numbers from when Tito Ortiz used to be the biggest attraction now look at today's number one PPV buyout, it make the outdated top look like a local event in some high school gym.
And yes mma is much bigger than boxing right now, boxing will cease to exist in 20 or less years when today's top star are going to be way too old to fight (paquiao, mayweather, Hopkins, the kliscos...) yeah you get the point

You'd be insane to think MMA is more popular than boxing right now. The numbers don't even prove that. More than once on several occasions were there are a MMA ppv and boxing ppv, the boxing ppv always sells more and generates more profit. Nobody watches MMA nearly as much anymore b/c a lot of the marquee matches have already been made along with 2 rematches at the minimum.
For example, there aren't nearly as many fighters in MMA that people in general would pay to watch such as Jose Aldo, Anderson Silva, Jon Jones, GSP, Shogun Rua, Urijah Faber, and maybe Frankie Edgar..Where as boxing Mayweather commands millions and so does Pacquiao. People will pay to see Cotto, Hopkins, Bute, Ward, Klitschko's, Gamboa, JuanMa Lopez, old Shane Mosley, Erik Morales, Victor Ortiz, Donaire, and even Amir Khan..
Don't get me wrong I love both sports. But if it isn't obvious by now..it should be..MMA will never be the biggest sport out there and it will never command the attention nor financial gain that boxing commands. That's just the truth and I've been a MMA fan since the beginning.

Just get the sunday ticket and take advantage of the great features that used to be exclusive to Superfan customers. Redzone, Short Cuts, Fantasy Trackers, Game Mix (watch several games at once)...
Just sign up with DIRECTV and get the premier package and get NFl sunday ticket for FREE instead of paying over $300 and you will be able to watch it through your HD receiver, mobile device, or PS3!

This is a very compelling offer because it gives non DIRECTV customers a way to enjoy "Every Game, Every Sunday".
For those that do NFL.COM Fantasy Football, look forward to the great features that allow you to manage your teams and monitor up to 18 of your players.
Good TV. Better TV. DIRECTV.

I'm not sure even die-hard fans would like shelling out $340 a season, would they?
Unless they own wallets the size of Warren Buffet's or Donald trump's(who used to be my boss BTW).
