Release Dates For Rochard, PAYDAY, And Sideway
Downloadable games are getting bigger and better with each passing month.
And now, Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE) has announced launch dates for a trilogy of new digital titles. The PSN will soon receive PAYDAY: The Hiest, Rochard, and Sideway: New York, a trio of accomplished and hopefully entertaining adventures. Said Chris Sturr, SOE executive director of business development and corporate strategy:
"We are seeing increased growth and popularity in the digital distribution of premium console games and therefore are delivering new AAA-quality titles like Rochard, PAYDAY: The Heist and Sideway: New York that address this trend head on. As one of the largest third-party publishers on PlayStation®Network with 9.7 million downloads to date, we continue to raise the bar for players with the introduction of three new original games that further complement our existing portfolio including Plants vs. Zombies™, DC Universe™ Online, Slam Bolt Scrappers, Free Realms®, Akimi Village and Acceleration of Suguri X Edition."
First up is Rochard, an "action-adventure, side-scrolling puzzle platformer" with a lot of promise. This one will arrive on September 27 and hold a $9.99 price tag. Then there's PAYDAY: The Heist, where you become a career criminal and attempt to execute high-stakes scores. It'll show up for PSN and PC users on October 4, with a cost of $19.99. Lastly, we have Sideway: New York, where you will play as Nox, "a graffiti artist sucked into a twisted graffiti world." It's a 2D adventure platformer set in a 3D world, and that concept alone is enough to intrigue us. It'll release on October 11 for $9.99.
