Feast Your Eyes On Assassin's Creed: Revelations Gameplay
We love Assassin's Creed.
And that's why we're excited to present you with nine and a half minutes of the upcoming new installment, straight from GamesCom. It's mostly all gameplay and as you can see, the fans are going to appreciate the return of that recognizable - and totally bad-ass - combat mechanic. You may also notice a few new elements, which we're definitely anticipating.
Unless Ubisoft makes a colossal mistake, all indications are that Assassin's Creed: Revelations will be a Game of the Year contender. The skeptical part of us remains concerned that the publisher may have rushed this one, what with the new "annual-ization" trend adopted by huge franchises. But we'll try and ignore that nagging fear. This looks great.

@Claira...AC2 has a better story, but as far as satisfying gameplay goes...I view the sequels progression mirrors Infamous 1 to Infamous 2. Infamous was entertaining, but the sequel blew me away. Brotherhood was shockingly better than AC2.

So I played AC1 and just couldn't fall in love with it. Don't really care for the 3'rd crusade and all that jazz. The gameplay was okay but something was missing.
So years later, actually two weeks ago, I decided to buy AC2 cause it was only 15 bucks. OMG that was the best thing I could have done. Now I truly understand why Ben loves the franchise so much. The gameplay has improved TENFOLD! The environments are just freaking gorgeous and I love me some late 15 century renaissance.
Story does a great job still, mixing faux and actually history, and does a better job with the sci-fi. If you read all the codex and hunt for the "truth" you'll walk away with a greater understanding of the story AC is trying to tell.
I've even gone as far as to read the comics and getting into the books. I'm going to try to get into bloodlines to fill in the huge ass gap at the end of AC2. That was annoying as hell to realize I had to get another game just to find out what the hell he was doing all that time.
After all of that I'm definitely going to get brotherhood and finish it just in time for Revelations. OMG I'm obsessed!
Oh and the controls are fantastic for the console. Trust me, I played AC2 for the PC. The controls were just trash. I played the 1 hour PSN+ trial and omg the difference was night and day. They really were intuitive. But that's just all opinion so yea.

It's a little different than other games, in that you sort of flow with Ezio, rather than causing him to flow. It's hard to explain, actually. There's a rhythm to it, in regards to both general movement (what they call Free Running) to combat. I didn't get it at first, either, but once I did, it was perfect. :)

Still, maybe I put it in tonight. The save is locked so I have to start all over again anyway.

hopefully the stories a little better this time though.
i mean brotherhood was pretty disappointing compared to the amazing deep complex story of the first 2.
until the end of course, then it starts to get interesting, then just ends!
hopefully it starts right where brotherhood left off, i really want a explanation to its ending.
O, and a explanation to all the emails you can read outside the animus.

I've been to Istanbul several times as well and love the history of the place so this is definately a plus!
May wait for it to drop in price mind you as games are expensive in Australia.
Uncharted 3 however has my full attention firstly though.
