Fall In Love With Twisted Metal On Valentine's Day
Twisted MetalYeah, it's unfortunate that we won't get Twisted Metal this year. But take heart. ...you'll get that pun in a minute.
If you visited the PlayStation Blog, you've probably already seen Eat Sleep Play co-founder David Jaffe make the encouraging announcement:
Twisted Metal will launch on February 14. Previously, Jaffe revealed that the game simply wasn't ready, and the team was forced to delay the highly anticipated title. Initially, it held an October 4 release date. He was very candid about the whole thing; we applauded his honesty, 'cuz he sounded like a disappointed gamer rather than a disappointed executive.
Sega's Binary Domain is also set to release on Valentine's Day next year, but we imagine TM would rather challenge that title than face down a difficult September and October. That's always a daunting proposition, even for the return of a legendary franchise.

Vehicle combat was fun in the PS1 days but it doesn't grab me any more. Should be fun for MP aficionados though.

really hoping this turns out to be the TM we have always wanted!
whether that happens or not im not so sure.
$onys quietness on it is really strange, especially the enthusiasm and excitement they had for it at its announcement even bringing a truck in for it and saving it for the last bit of the show.
they have been showing everything off every chance they get, but this has been nowhere to be found!
oh well, hopefully it will be at the EB convention so i can see what its like.
