Well I've never had the chance to play Halo only heard mixed opinions of the franchise. It being fantastic and it being overrated and boring. I guess I can't have a fair say in this.. I would like to try it if it was a multi platform game.. so I tiny bit jealous yes. However there are so many great ps3 exclusives which makes xbox gamers jealous of us ps3 owners. It's always like that with console exclusive games..that's why it's better to have every console- if you can afford it, so you don't miss out on anything.

I don't think 360 owners are jealous... I think they actively maintain an air of oblivion to exist in an alternate reality where PS3 exclusives don't exist.

Jealous? Are you kidding me? Halo is a good multi-player shooter. But you know, that's all it is. In this day and age of muylti-player shooters, it still carries weight thanks to it's heritage, but it's just another shooter now. Don't get me wrong I played the original on a friends Xbox fora while, but the swearing racists misogynistic children absolutely killed it for me, as did all the more experienced players that killed the noob time after time after time after time after time... In short, I didn't enjoy the online very much, but the game was pretty solid in it's own right.

So, Meh...

I honestly havnt touched any of the halos since 1, except for the mp. I gotta say Halo was and is still a very very good shooter from a campaign point of view.

I, of course, think the PS3 is a far superior system to the 360 on every front. And since I think X-game chat is vastly over-hyped (I hated talking to people and hearing their game's sound effects while trying to focus on my game, and I've never needed to talk to someone to form a party), I don't feel like I even want a 360.

However, anyone who pretends the 360 offers nothing is a fool.

I've played much 360 over the years and have played Gears of War 1 and 2, all Halo's, and Alan Wake. While I see the appeal of Gears, it's just another game I disliked. I like Halo well enough as a multiplayer game. I would definitely prefer to play that instead of the stupid lame-o CoD games my friends refuse to leave.

But if I'm actually honest, I think it would be cool to have Halo on PS3, but I wonder how much I would play it. I have Halo 1 and 2 on PC. I've beaten both on PC as well as 360, and I played online too. But I haven't even considered firing them back up over the last couple years. They are there, installed, and ready for me if I wanted, but it's just not that fantastic that I would keep going back to it.

Alan Wake? Yeah. I'm jealous of that.

So yeah... Gears: Hate it. Halo: Like it lots, but it's not exactly a system seller for me. Alan Wake: Gives it to meeee!

Any other 360 game I like a lot is also a multiplat, like Assassin's Creed. So I'm not missing out on much. But I am jealous of Alan Wake. Halo multiplayer would be fun, as long as I could also get a guarantee my friends would play it as opposed to CoD. If not, it's a big ol' meh for me.

I would also love to get Alan Wake.

Remedy made several mistakes in my estimation.
They failed to understand their target audience was really on the PS3. If the game had to be exclusive, it should have been exclusive to the PS3.

They went up against Red Dead Redemption. In hindsight all i can say is OOPS!

Being that it was exclusive to the xbox it needed to have multi player. I say that tongue in cheek, but if you are only on the Xbox, you better darn well have multiplayer. 360 owners need that feature in all their games to justify 60.00 a year for online. They can't see paying for a game with a short campaign and no multiplayer.

Hopefully they will "Remedy" their mistake and put the sequel on the PS3.

I have both a 360 and a PS3 and have for a loooong time now. That being said, I will not be picking this up. I don't remember the last time I bought a 360 game, and it might have actually been Alan Wake.

So, jealous? No, more like done, over, and bored to tears with shiny green space marines.

I have played Halo 3 and Reach (1 and 2 only played for a couple of hours) and never got into it.

I really don't understand what is all the hype about. IMO, nowadays, Halo is just another FPS videogame overpassed by a bunch of other titles with better story and better gameplay.

Halo's MP is a lot of fun... but nothing that gamers can't have in another games.

It's kind of sad to see that the 360 only have Halo, Forza and Gears as the flagship exclusives. I really want to use my 360 more than once a year.

The PS3 has plenty of good exclusives too, though not as good FPS's. So I don't think PS3 users should be jealous.

On the other hand, Halo is what it is today bacause of Bungie.

With Bungie out of the picture, I don't know how good the new trilogy will be. I'm giving them the benefit of doubt but I'm not expecting much out of an unproven developer (434 Industries, What do they do?).

What I'm jelaous of is Gears of War. I would love to play it online for free on PSN. I hope Gears 4 will be multiplat.

Jealous? NO WAY! :) my PS3 collection is growing while my 360 collection has stopped short. The last game I have bought for the 360 is Gears 3 and now just waiting to see what my last game for the 360 will be like.
As great as this would be in my collection, I won't be buying it. I have given up on everything 360 this year as the PS3 line up just looks so much better...

I enjoy Halo, though I don't love it. Gears of War is the big 360 series that convinced me to finally break down and pick up the console one boring and lonely winter a couple years back. The very first Halo was a groundbreaking game, the sequels have all been enjoyable, and I still love the sci-fi setting (though here's hoping they have cooler alien foes in the next trilogy). But other shooters have caught up or passed Halo at this point, I think.

My guess is that it's all because of a need for keyboard to play the game. For instance I assume it's text chat in vicinity/guild/faction/trade channels.

I would not be surprised if it was just that simple... And that only makes it more bitter.

I wouldn't want the whole halo franchise since 1 and 2 imo were the only ones that was worth playing. I just think MS needs to kill this name off, cause i hate when pubs try to rely to much on the same game to push units. Though Sony has the variety of exclusives for the ps3, i just don't want them to cont relying on sequels and sequels to sell units. UC is the best of the best for ps3 but i would like to see the series to stop at uc3 for now, and have nd start to work on a new project. GG is the same, KZ should've of ended at 3 be done and have GG work on new project.

Not Jealous as like you yourself Ben I got the Xbox originally when the PS3 was delayed here in the UK and also I too wanted to playe Gears and the Halo's. I was waiting till like MGS4 came out but they anounced they were stopping doing the backwards compatable PS3's so I bought one with 2 games, F1 Championship Edition and Motorstorm. I then went to Game and picked myself up a copy of Resistance Fall Of Man.

Not looked back since.

I use my Xbox occasioanlly when I feel like Alan Wake. Kinda looking forward to Gears 3 but then once that has been played I know I'll be back on my PS3 a lot. Speaking of which I am on it now on Deus Ex Human Revolution, what a great game this really is.

Just a shame the PS3 is not getting Cross Game Chat.

I love Halo but if i didn't have a 360 the franchise i'd be most jealous of would be Gears of War. Gears 3 is looking insane.

The Dead or Alive love that Xbox has been getting in the past would have been enough to convert me though as i love my fighters.

No need to be jealous when I like Resistance ad Killzone more as they are mature games and Halo has a kiddy feel to it.If I wanted it I would own a 360,but Halo has never be a great franchise is my opinion.It's average and not worth the hype.

I am a Halo fan, it's one of the few motivating reasons 360 still feels viable for me. But I was really hoping Halo 4 would be held off for more powerful tech. I just can't get too excited for what would be five core halo releases(counting CE) on the same aging hardware.

Alan Wake has an awesome story and atmosphere as well as one of the coolest premises ever but I just didn't like the gameplay. It was tedious to keep whipping a flashlight on enemies just to off them.

I can't really say I am. I've played all of the Halo games since my friends were big Xbox fans. I even bought an Xbox back when Halo 2 came out.. but honestly, I was always underwhelmed by them. I beat Halo 2 in 2 or 3 days, and sold my Xbox after playing through Jade Empire and Star Wars: KOTR. I must say I do want to play through Alan Wake at some point though.

No reason to be jealous over Halo. The campaigns are cool and the MP is a blast to play. Yet they aren't games that are must have titles on the PS3.

If I didn't own both I'd be more jealous about Alan Wake. After I played it I couldn't help but wonder how it would've been as a PS3 exclusive. Gears 3 looks great as well but there just something special about Alan Wake.

To be perfectly honest, no. Xbox and Gamecube were my only platforms last generation (now I have everything; PS2, Wii, PS3, 360, PSP, DS, etc.) but I never played Halo until last year. Wow, is that game boring. It's not bad, it's just so empty and uninteresting. Very, very overrated game in my opinion.

I'm sure Halo Anniversary and Halo 4 each will probably sell more than all of Sony's exclusives this Fall (except for Uncharted 3) combined but in my opinion, it really lacks quality. Even Killzone 2 (a game I think has really awful controls) was more interesting than Halo.

Alan Wake, 'Splosion Man, Comic Jumper, Gears of War, etc. are definitely titles PS3 people should be envious of though. Great games.

Although I don't care that they have it I did like halo when I played it at a friends and on the original xbox so I'd like it to come to ps3 but it's not a system seller

As a PC user I'm thankful for what I have and glad I don't have to rely on the next Halo for some FPS satisfaction.

I played 1 and 2, and back when the 360 came out Halo 3 wasn't even a factor in my deliberations over buying the system because I had already grown tired of it. It was good sci fi fun when I was younger but I then took a liking to grittier stuff and lo and behold Killzone and Resistance are sci fi but gritty too.

And Halo "returns"? Halo never left. It's almost as milked as CoD. Nope, the xboxers with a crush on a little virtual blue woman can keep this franchise :)

No not really. I played all of the 360 exclusives with my friend on his 360. We played both gears of wars and beat the campaigns back to back. It was fun but after beating them I could not play them anymore. It gets boring after a while. I think I'm just tired fps games. There's too many this gen and it gets old. I beat them and they just sit there collecting dust. The 360 exclusives are good though don't get me wrong. If the 360 were exclusively getting the Team Ico Collection THEN I would be jealous. But they aren't so I'm fine.

Personally, I only ever liked Halo 1. Halo 2 wasn't bad, but its story wasn't as interesting IMO (mostly because we knew the mystery of the Halos and they didn't even attempt a new mystery in the second one). And then every Halo since 3 has been the same damn thing, and that just gets tedious and boring. Although Reach's ending was cool, but once again, that doesn't justify it being pretty much the same as Halo 2/3/ODST.

So in short, no, I'm not jealous, and I haven't been for quite a while. And I doubt I will be in the future either, seeing as how 343 Industries isn't gonna try to change the series even a little bit, lest they earn the ire of fanboys and critics everywhere.

Umm no I'm not. But I think it would be cool to see it on PC. But it never will. I mean that would only bring in added revenue, that would make too much sense. Then again PC people don't pay for Live so that's prob why.

The only game on the 360 I REALLY want to play is Gears of War, a desire that may be squashed if the online multilayer in Uncharted 3 and Starhawk end up as good as they look. The funny thing is the year Halo 3 dropped most gamers on the 360 seemed to be more fascinated with Call of Duty 4 and ever since then Halo has been somewhat overshadowed by other COD's.

Can anybody tell me how good the story in the first 2 games are? only reason i ask is i have an original xbox, but i don't have many games for it. I bought it like 2 years ago for $50, and i don't want it to go to waste.

I played and still own both 1 and 2. The first was better, but that does not mean the second was bad at all. Both are very enjoyable.

I wanted to play Halo but to the question of am I jealous cause I can't play Halo? The answer is no "Halo" isn't even the best FPS on the 360. Most 360 fans have shown once a new COD drops "Halo" is forgotten. With "Killzone", "Resistance" and I can play COD on the PS3. Out of the few good exclusives the 360 do have I say I would love to see "Gears of War" come over to the PS3.
Can't have too many good action shooter games on the PS3 side.

You can't miss what you've never had. I don't own an XBox and have never played a Halo, so there is nothing to be jealous about.
Also, I don't really like FPSs.

Halo and Gears of War are the only reasons I still own a Xbox 360. I've been a Halo fan since the beginning and will be till the end. I do have to say that exclusives on the Xbox feel more like "games" than the exclusives on PS3. Not saying that's a bad thing, but I just feel different playing a 360 exclusive than I do playing a PS3 exclusive.

No, plain and simple. I never bought into the Halo craze one bit. Played the 1st on PC. Thought I've played this too many times for years and years. This is a lot of fuss over nothing.

No, not really jealous. I really enjoyed the first two Halos, a LOT. But that probably had more to do with the fact that I lived in the dorms when they came out and we had 8 tvs in the common room with 8 linked x-boxes.

Nope.

So they have 4 Halo games planed huh? The Halo 1 remake, Halo 4 and at least two more (Hence the trilogy).

Microsoft needs to invest in new IPs... badly.

The answer is no,i played a fair amount of halo (1,2,3) with friends after a while it get's boring,I would rather play some underrated FPS games like Timeshift and Powerslave etc.

I'm not really jealous because so many of my friends have Xboxes. I like the game and I do play it a lot at parties - I like the atmosphere. It's pretty lighthearted but it's great for screaming at the TV.

Halo's gameplay is alright but the Forge Mode is where the fun is to be had. Last week my friend and I played golf with gravity lifts, one-way shields and warthogs! Awesome.

I do like the Halo series but I don't think it's really incredible. The system sellers (like Zelda, Mario, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo) should be some of the best of the generation, and Halo's certainly not that.

Nope, I've put in MANY hours on Halo 2 playing splitscreen with my friends and it's always been an average overrated series to me. I played with my friends because it's better than sitting back watching them play obviously, I was never impressed. The only fun I got out of it was pissing off my friends when I killed them.

they got such massive shoes to fill, and while some of the devs left bungie to form them i can just see them trying to take it in different ways and thus ruining it.
or the crapcom syndrome we like to call it.
halo is THE most iconic series ever created, they screw it up and there gonna have a hell of a angry mob to answer to!

I'm a bit jealous of gears but not so much on alan wake still miss the idea that it was a PC game, it belongs on PC.

stating the obvious, best third party multiplat's are on both consoles so I don't cry out at all (even if i own both) .

I love(d) the idea seeing game consoles like a sports team with a mascot. but it's always been business, and now it's become silly. I still admire the work of developers, and most guerilla,naughtydog,santa monica and others have been doing an amazing and admirable job with their games. Sony lost a lot o exclusives that could have kept them balanced. I still like the idea of Kojima comparing the PS3 to cinema -, I'm a cinephile so I see sony has more of a cult following (just like the dreamcast xD). something I love about Sony is how they are risking their market with adding different variety of games and that makes me feel like I'm a cared customer. I'm mostly happy with the indie games that aren't on 360. they should be jealous for those gems. but what do this generation understand? not everyone will mature enough to appreciate and learn how to value these games. first party sony studios make me believe they throw more effort on the PS3 trying not to let down their cunsomers/fans and bosses knowing the difficulty of the Ps3.

Halo never did it for me, nor impressed like KZ2 did when I first played it. we may have a small count of top notch games but I'm satisfied with my investment just because of that.

PS: I wish Lost Oddysey was on Pc or PS3.

I'd be jealous...but since we're getting HD versions of Ico/Shadow of the Colossus, GoW Collections, Metal Gear, and a slew of others that I can't remember or are probably gonna be remade...I just can't seem to find enough energy to be jealous :D

So, basically they are upgrading the previous games with better graphics? You know I've played Halo 1 and 2, and I admit at the time it was great, I liked the open world feel of getting in a vehicle and blowing some crap up(for the record it wasn't my Xbox, it was my little brother's), but after, I realize that's all the Xbox really has. Warhawk/Starhawk cover my need to freely do whatever I want. Xbox really doesn't have much going for them these days in my eyes. They spit out a Halo every two years or so, and its same thing, and now its LITERALLY the same thing. I got into a argument with a few of my friends who are Xbots. I tossed out exclusive game after exclusive game that the PS3 has and will have and his response is We have Halo 3. Yeah, didn't that game come out a couple of years ago!? I never played Gears nor do I plan to, if its like Unreal Tournament, no thank you. So my answer is no, I am not jealous of their only exclusive game.

Jealous? Not at all. I loved the first two Halo games and I only bought a 360 when Halo 3 came out. While Halo 3 wasn't as good as the first two, I enjoyed it until all the foul-mouthed children started flooding the games. I've only played a small amount of Reach, but do intend to finish it. Oh yea, ODST was crap.

There is no need to be jealous of any XBOX 360 game for me. If it does get a good game, I'll buy it. But with the lineup of PS3 exclusives there is no reason to be jealous at all. XBOTS should be jealous of the PS3, even though all they want to do is shoot stuff.

I actually hope the Reclaimer Trilogy can capture the amazing experience I got from the first 2 Halo games, and give me something to play on the 360.

Why be a jealous fan boy? Get both consoles and win on all levels.

If you can only own one, there are that many good titles on both consoles theres no point whining about something you can't get. Alternatively you could just get out more.

Not the slightest. I tried Halo: Evolved many years ago on the PC, never saw anything in that game. I then tried Halo 2, again on the PC a few years ago and was honestly completely SHOCKED at how awful that game looked, and played. Even having no actual expectations about the game I was still completely disappointed in it. So no, I have no reason to be jealous about not being able to play Halo 3 or any other derivatives of the franchise. Junk is junk, no matter how many times you release a new version of it.

I'm not jealous of Alan Wake either, from the videos I've seen it doesn't look very good even though Ben says it's good. If it comes out for PC at some point I may try it, but I doubt I'll like it.

I've tried Gears of War... on PC, don't see what's so good about that one either, haven't finished it. No idea why Microsoft decided not to release the sequel on PC, but couldn't really care less either. Maybe they (MS) felt like they had to strip one of their own hardware platforms in order to keep some kind of weird platform exclusives to the 360... Ehh..
