Ni No Kuni Trailer Presents A Gorgeous, Diverse World

Level-5 knows what they're doing, and it's not all about White Knight Chronicles II, which releases next week.

Don't forget about another promising title, the PlayStation 3 version of Ni no Kuni, which we're hoping will receive a North American release date at some point. It has already landed a Japanese date (November 17), and optimists are saying we'll hear about a Western launch some time soon.

In the meantime, check out the diverse gameplay and beautiful locations you can expect to explore.

We see a medieval castle town, a volcano, an ocean, a graveyard, and oh yes, a winged creature (perhaps a dragon) flying over the landscape. It's almost painfully pretty and we really like the variety on display in this trailer. Sure, some will call it a little cutesy but you know, you have to appreciate artistic style and a colorful, engaging world.

This has to be localized! If not for the JRPG fans... Do it for the children! Why wont anyone think of the children!?

World map, baby!

Miyazaki's vision may seem cutesy but are often really deep when it comes to story. Expect waterworks.

I don't think I've ever wanted a game localized as much as I do for this. Level-5 International, make it happen please!!

This game is too unique and beautiful to not be localized. Ni No Kuni better be released in the west to add on to the PS3 diversity goodness.

With the JRPG drought that we are currently experiencing, this would be a very welcome game. Level-5, give us a western release date please!

I see this game and I think of the pretend adventures I was having in my head as a little boy who was basically carrying a sword-like stick through the neighborhood on a quest to save the world from...something.

I wanna make those little innocent fantasies real with this game.

And if it hits big with reviews and scores well and sells a lot then it could be a turning point where devs go "Wow, gamers DO really want fantastical JRPG adventures. Let's try to make ours even better!"

It does look impressive, I wont lie though it might just be TOO anime-ish for me. But it has a lot going for it, classic battle system, beautiful open world and by what looks like a real adventure quest RPG's have been lacking on recently. I might just have to overlook the visual representation of the characters like I am with Catherine, because it does look sensational.

It's good to inject some Ghibli into your system every once in a while. Love how it's a direct individually developed jump from the DS on to the PS3; Level 5 sure do love Sony.

Im glad people are seeing it for what it is now. I've banged on about it too much, but after being here soo long, i have seen the apparent outcrys for golden age return to forms for our RPGs....this is it.

My expectations may be OTT, but that's how much confidence i have in it...FFVll is my fave and for the 1st time ever, i feel it may be challenged.

Level 5 are the new kings in town.

This looks like the real DQX. Unlike whatever they unveiled recently. An online rpg for the Wii, LOL!, SERIOUSLY!. Well there goes my hopes for a proper DQ8 sequel. They should rename this DQX and DQX should just be called Dragon Quest Online. I hope this doesn't turn into FF11 or something. I don't even know if I want to buy DQX anymore. Disappointment...

Because SE says that they are too hard to do in HD, just like Towns and such...oh, wait, WKC has both. Oops.

They are just lazy, I hate that. >.< It shouldn't be hard to make a town in HD. I mean, look at other games that has towns.. -.- SE's gone nuts.

They Managed fine with Lost Odyssey. I can't see it being inconceivable as they make it out to be.

Lost Odyssey is Mistwalker, not Enix. Plus, Lost Odyssey, as great as it is, only had a partial world map.
