Sparkling Ceramic White PS3 Landing In Europe Soon
Damnit, North American gamers like color, too!
Japan has tons of color options for their gaming hardware, even if other regions don't get the same treatment. Nevertheless, good news for all our friends across the sea:
The Ceramic White PlayStation 3 console has been available in Japan for nearly a year, and it's now coming to Europe and Australia this November. UK gamers will face the standard 250GBP price tag, those in mainland Europe will pay 300 Euros, and the cost in Australia will be $448 AUD. Will this slick new PS3 come to the US? Nah. At least, not yet. We still only have the option of Piano Black, and we're hoping that we get some of those flashy designer colors so common in Japan. You can always import but that's not the best option for everyone.
Yeah, it's just cosmetic but so what? The cosmetic matters, too, ya know.

they were most probably done over at Colorware.
They do some pretty nice colorizing, but very pricy,
it's $475 if you buy a new colorized PS3(SLIM) from them, or a just buying a new colorized controller will set you back $85.
If you send your own machine in to be colorized, then it's $149 for one color, or more for multiple colors, or just $30 for the controller by it self(with a 2-3 week turn-around)

they dont ship here however.
oh not to mention all the US exclusive comps, like the U2 edition and the subway promo for U3 is US exclusive.
why anyone would buy this is beyond me though.
its exactly the same price as the black one, BUT it does not come with the 4 games, HDMI cable, play TV and bluray remote the black one does.
ok its white instead of black, but is it really worth loosing all that just for white?
if it were the titanium blue one they gave out for SEMA i would still say no!
today marks the 12th anniversary since the ps2 was announced, just thought that should be mentioned.....
