Sparkling Ceramic White PS3 Landing In Europe Soon

Damnit, North American gamers like color, too!

Japan has tons of color options for their gaming hardware, even if other regions don't get the same treatment. Nevertheless, good news for all our friends across the sea:

The Ceramic White PlayStation 3 console has been available in Japan for nearly a year, and it's now coming to Europe and Australia this November. UK gamers will face the standard 250GBP price tag, those in mainland Europe will pay 300 Euros, and the cost in Australia will be $448 AUD. Will this slick new PS3 come to the US? Nah. At least, not yet. We still only have the option of Piano Black, and we're hoping that we get some of those flashy designer colors so common in Japan. You can always import but that's not the best option for everyone.

Yeah, it's just cosmetic but so what? The cosmetic matters, too, ya know.

I could recall this site giving away blue and red colored PS3's way back. It'd be nice if they differentiated the colors based on the hard drive size of each PS3 released.

But those weren't done by Sony,
they were most probably done over at Colorware.

They do some pretty nice colorizing, but very pricy,
it's $475 if you buy a new colorized PS3(SLIM) from them, or a just buying a new colorized controller will set you back $85.

If you send your own machine in to be colorized, then it's $149 for one color, or more for multiple colors, or just $30 for the controller by it self(with a 2-3 week turn-around)

Yeah, we did three such giveaways and we may do more in the future. It was ColorWare, by the way and no, it isn't cheap.

If I'm not concerned about dirt and smudges, I'd be getting this. That gold Ni no Kuni PS3, however, is just WOW! For now I'd be content with my matte black PS3 slim.

It is a shame we don't get these styles in the States. I prefer to have a choice and I certainly would have opted for a different color for my PS3s. Shout out to World for introducing me to a really nice skin website.

I have a skin on my PS3 also since we couldn't get the colors here in the States.

My veggie alien, of course! I made one for my recent slim, I'm not touching the fatty.

Hey LV,

Not sure what site World turned you on to for console skins, but here's a pretty good site too for gaming skins, phones, etc......

It was a different site but had very similar choices. It allowed for custom skins as well which I opted for but also made the price a little higher.

It was Gelaskins, I just added them as an affiliate at the site I write at. Nice skins.

Well, I had the option of the White PS3 here in Singapore. It looked nice but the shop owner said there is a possibility it could discolour over time. So I opted for the black baby.

She fits right in with everything else. It does look slick though...

True enough, but a nice bright yellow or gold wouldn't look bad in any light.

I know, right? Seriously, they could offer a metallic gold PS3 and controller for $50 or $100 more than the standard SKU and I bet they'd sell out overnight. Same with a Platinum chromed one.

i still like my black and chrome ps3. if it came in a different color, i wouldnt mind a choice. my only preference is launch 60gb specs or nothing. i like backwards compatibility, 4 usb ports, and card readers.

A white one to go with my Dreamcast would be spicy, but it reminds me of a Wii. Still, why aren't there color specials in the US? Makes no sense man!

technically the states has always had this because of that company who will spray your ps3 which ever colour you want!
they dont ship here however.
oh not to mention all the US exclusive comps, like the U2 edition and the subway promo for U3 is US exclusive.
why anyone would buy this is beyond me though.
its exactly the same price as the black one, BUT it does not come with the 4 games, HDMI cable, play TV and bluray remote the black one does.
ok its white instead of black, but is it really worth loosing all that just for white?
if it were the titanium blue one they gave out for SEMA i would still say no!

today marks the 12th anniversary since the ps2 was announced, just thought that should be mentioned.....

Technically? Technically the states has never had this because technically if you get your case re-sprayed it's still black underneath the opaque coat of paint.

I don't really need a colorful PS3, my black one already matches my Bravia LCD and my black 360, even my couch is black.
