I Am Alive: Survive The Apocalypse This Winter
You're alive, but can you survive?
Today, Ubisoft has announced that I Am Alive, the post-apocalyptic action/adventure title, will release on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade this winter.
Make your "thought-provoking choices" and see if you can struggle through a world that has seen the collapse of modern civilization. The game follows the quest of a man out to locate his missing wife and daughter, who were lost during the "Event." Everyone is struggling to survive and sometimes, the desperate resort to violence; it's a dangerous, uncertain world. Said Ubisoft Director of Marketing Adam Novickas:
"We know people have been waiting for this game to arrive, and we believe it's going to be worth the wait. I Am Alive presents a unique take on the post-apocalyptic, survival genre by creating more complex and emotional situations for the player. Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network are the perfect platforms to leverage the mature and challenging experiences of the game."
You'll have to manage both your stamina and resources, and you'll also have to master a "unique combat system" that actually requires the use of intimidation. For instance, cowards will run from an empty gun, while others will call your bluff and rush you. We think it's the atmosphere that will make or break this one.

at one time this game was a full budget game. apparently ubisoft was not that impressed with it and downgraded it to a low budget release. i have a hard time getting excited about a psn only game becuase most of the stuff on there is shallow as hell in terms of gameplay and depth. my money is better spent picking an older full budget disc based game. i prefer owning the acual physical product. thank god the mgs hd and silent hill hd collections are disc based retail releases.
i have seen the resident evil hd games on psn only. i have not purchased them even though i am interested. if the re hd games were disc based games i would have bought them day 1.

The best part is that it releases so soon, and it's on PSN. Good stuff PSXE!
You guys really shouldn't be concerned about it being a download only title. We've had so many must-buy games released exclusively on XBL and PSN that this should be a non-issue.
