PSXE Poll Update: Skyrim Is Tops For RPG Lovers
There are several major role-playing games, but only one can top the priority list of a RPG lover.
And according to our recent poll, that game is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Many RPG followers will say Bethesda's franchise is a dream for the hardcore, as it combines a huge open world, in-depth character customization and advancement, and a healthy dose of folklore. You can expect yet another wide-open, freedom-oriented environment, and you might dump 100+ hours into the game if you wish to do absolutely everything. Dark Souls comes out this week but it may not appeal to all RPG fans; it'll be super punishing and it's more linear. As for White Knight Chronicles II, we have plenty of die-hard fans at this site and we enjoyed the game, but unfortunately, not everyone felt the same way; just look at other reviews.
This week, it's RAGE and Dark Souls on Tuesday. But we already covered From Software's new RPG; now it's time to see how you feel about id Software's latest. You've probably seen me drop some encouraging hints over the past week, but is that enough...? You've probably done the research like a good consumer does, and as a gamer, you know what you like. So are you up for RAGE?

Personal Developer Update:Have to go register the Studio name and check with Sony Mexico on a few things.
Trying to decide what to call the Studio??
Thinking about what concept art to do for a game.
And its way too early for me to get a PS4 sdk.

On top of that Multiplayer and knowing where to farm is the key to getting through in Demon's Souls. I just wish more folks around here had more patience for Demon's Souls and now Dark Souls too.

the last one, oblivion bored the f*ck out of me!
most games i can put up with and force myself to finish, but playing that was worse then torture!
so i dont think ill be getting skyrim, especially since its only 8 days after sonic launches, and only 4 days before ACR and saints row 3.
another good game to save for the drought season, like i did fallout NV.
as for RAGE, well its from id so EVERYONE should be getting it!
theres a reason why every single game id releases gets nominations for GOTYs, and become instant classics!
i mean the masterminds who gave us the genre were so sick of now!
need i say more?
i mean, how much more cred can you get!?
well, thats besides being endorsed from god of course.........
but then john kinda is god, so i guess you cant!

While Rage does look fun, it does look like Borderlands without cell shading and 4 player co op goodness. Yes I have watched the videos.

doom 3 was f*cking awesome!
have not done much this gen but thats because there been doing there new engine.
im disappointed there not outsourcing it like they use to their old engines.
id love to see MP games running on it, the more alternatives to that crappy outdated overused UE3 the better!
just because its in the same setting as borderlands does not mean it plays like it.
it looks NOTHING like borderlands!
might as well say KZ3 looks like halo!

But other than that, this sad panda is in -no-money-spending- mode. The wife's Mat Leave pay won't be coming in for a number of weeks, and since she isn't working right now because of that Maternity Leave, we're operating on a single income for the next month or so. I could probably afford a couple games, but I also like to work with a small buffer of -just-in-case- money. :)
No worries though... I will get this game eventually.

Rage is soooo pretty. I think I may buy it sooner than later. I love the visual style they chose, and always like post-apocalyptic settings.

As for Rage, I will have it D1. I looks fun as hell and after watching the co-op trailer just recently, which I didn't realize it had, I'm definitely excited to play it.
