Men In Black Will Protect The Universe In Spring 2012
Well, this might be interesting.
Today, Activision Publishing, in partnership with Columbia Pictures, has announced a new Men in Black video game, which will launch alongside the theatrical release of "Men in Black III."
This new IP will boast "lighthearted gameplay mixed with edge-of-your-seat shooting excitement," and it should be great fun for fans of the movie series. We're not sure if we'll get the voices of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, but...we better. Said Vice President of Licensing at Sony Pictures Entertainment Mark Caplan:
"With Activision bringing the Men In Black universe to life on next gen consoles for the first time, the Men In Black video game will be both familiar to fans, an exciting beginning for the uninitiated, and revolutionary for the franchise."
Focusing on the "rich mythology" of the MiB universe, the game will have an original storyline that builds on the history of the film series. It'll even introduce a few new faces to the plot, so it could act as the perfect complement to the movie when it releases. The game and movie should be ready to go next spring; the interactive one will be coming to consoles and handhelds. Cross your fingers.
