Believe it or not, one of the best games of 2009 may have just released: it's Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X., and although it doesn't have the widespread appeal of a Killzone 2 or Resident Evil 5, this flight/action title should be great for fans of the niche genre. The game really looks good and we haven't had a really solid flight title since the last Ace Combat (which didn't come to the PlayStation 3, by the way). And based on what we've seen of early trailers, the gameplay appears to be a mix of simulation and accessibility, which means it's not like the old-school 1942 and it's not like Microsoft Flight Simulator. You know...somewhere in between.
