It's an old-school style with a fresh take on combat and if you're a veteran role-playing fan, you'll likely take an interest in Cross Edge. It features the 2D sprites you thought had disappeared entirely from this new generation, and a type of battle that is rapidly evaporating. Here's a look at some gameplay - that Lightning Sword looks pretty damn effective - and as you can see, even though it boasts old-fashioned visuals, the action still appears fast and tight. You're going to need to make decisions quickly and execute them with good timing and reflexes, so don't sleep on Cross Edge. It could be great for the RPGers.
