Along with Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, it's easily one of the most anticipated releases of the month. This is a major departure from the franchise's long and storied history; Need for Speed: SHIFT quite literally puts you in the driver's seat for a chance at experiencing virtual racing like you never could before. Mostly a simulator, SHIFT is a game that will appeal to everyone who looked longingly upon a supercar and said, "damn, what I wouldn't give to take that out on a closed street course." Gran Turismo 5 is still to come but in the meantime, EA may have just set the racing bar.
