We've been waiting and waiting and waiting for a truly excellent, "AAA" Western title to appear in the video game world. Some games in the past have been decent - the recent Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood was pretty good - but none have had the potential of Red Dead Redemption in our eyes. Just look at the gameplay compilation in this video and try to avoid being excited. It's impossible! The third-person mechanic looks solid, the freedom of exploration and the intensity of those wild encounters should be fantastic, and all in all, Redemption sits high on our priority list for 2010.
