"Back to its roots" is something Mortal Kombat fans definitely want to hear. MK is back and in looking at this new interview from GamesCom, and you get a peek at some drool-worthy gameplay. They won't be going back to 2D, of course, but they will readopt many of the traits that made this franchise so unbelievably popular back in the day. They've tried a few different things to distance themselves from the past but this time around, it's all about paying homage to the past. ...and we're not about to complain.
