Sonic can never truly die, even if the fans have often been disappointed with his 3D endeavors. Thankfully, Sega understands that the blue streak's appeal seems to be rooted in his 2D history, which is why we'll have a "Classic" and "Modern" option for Sonic Generations. That's right, we can either run around in a 3D setting or adopt the good old days of 2D side-scrolling! Sounds like a plan.
