While most fighting games dispense with the story entirely, Soul Calibur has always offered a decent plot with compelling characters. Of course, it doesn't supersede the gameplay - it's still a fighting title, after all - but Namco likes to give their combatants emotional purposes. The new Tale of Swords Story Trailer proves that indeed, there is an intriguing back story... Well no, it's not like an RPG.
