Unfortunately, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is no longer scheduled for this year, but if you want to know why, check out this developer web blog. You'll learn a great deal about the creation process and what the team's goals are, in addition to why a 2008 release is now required. The original Mercs was great fun, but it seems obvious Pandemic wants to take the next logical step...or steps: they want the sequel to be bigger, badder, and overall, better. If they need the extra time in order to deliver a top-notch production, than we have no problem whatsoever with the recently announced delay. We understand, guys!
