GRiD - Flashback Damage Featurette Video
GRiD is shaping up to be one of the best racing games available, as Codemasters talks about how they approach damage in this promising racer. Light taps will only result in cosmetic damage - dings in the body, bumpers falling off, etc. - but if you really hit hard, it will impact the car's performance. Furthermore, there's this very cool feature that allows the player to rewind the action and see the crash again. Unfortunately, GRiD has to compete with the likes of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots when it releases in a few weeks time, but it might be just the ticket for racing fans. You're done with Prologue by now, right?
