  Dark Void "emphasizes the 'verticality' of combat." If you don't know what that means, you have to watch this brand new video featuring an interview that tells all. Essentially, this is a third-person shooter that has you flying high to vanquish hordes of enemies. Epic's Gears of War is shown because Dark Void takes a cue from that masterpiece by implementing similar gameplay mechanics for their shooter. You can duck and cover beneath ledges, for example, except you'll be doing it in a vertical battleground rather than the standard horizontal battleground. This is a very promising concept, so if you've been complaining about a lack of originality in this generation, pay attention!
