  There's something to be said for smoothness and fluidity in the gameplay of next-gen FPSs, and as you can see in this latest Resistance 2 video, everything has become silky smooth. There's also a great deal of detail in those new environments, and we just can't wait to get our hands on the public beta (scheduled for October). It blew away the crowd at E3 a couple months ago, and ever since then, everyone is seeking new content for Insomniac's uber-promising sequel. There was some question whether or not this particular developer - new to the world of the FPS - could deliver the goods, but Resistance: Fall of Man erased all doubts. These guys know what they're doing, and Resistance 2 is gonna rock.
