PlayStation 4 Back In Stock At GameStop For A Limited Time
GameStop has been sold out of the PlayStation 4 for some time. But now it's back.
There's no telling how many they've got, but the retailer has announced today that GameStop locations around the United States have received new shipments of Sony's next-gen console. The company says they've been working with Sony to receive more units since Christmas.
"As expected, we experienced tremendous customer demand for the new PS4 console during the initial launch and throughout the holiday season, selling out of the consoles just as quickly as we could stock them. We have been working closely with Sony to replenish our inventory levels of the PS4 as quickly as possible to ensure the many customers still looking to purchase one are able to do so."
Obviously, this doesn't mean every GameStop will have PS4s in stock, so call ahead before driving down there. The systems are available purely on a first-come, first-served basis so if you want one, you better act fast. In stark contrast, the Xbox One has commonly been found at GameStop since it launched in November.
That didn't stop the PS4 from outselling the Xbox One in 2013 on a worldwide basis, though (4.2 million vs. 3 million).
