inFamous: Second Son Trailer: This Is Definitely "Next-Gen"

inFamous: Second Son is less than two months away and for many new PlayStation 4 owners, it's their most anticipated title of the new generation.

There's a good reason for that.

Check out the latest trailer, which shows off some of the high praise Sucker Punch's production has received since it was announced last year. Protagonist Delsin has a very special ability and it can be used for good or evil. Unfortunately, many civilians see him as a major threat, and it doesn't help that the government is cracking down on "bioterrorists." The cool part is that with such amazing power, you've always got the edge. Will you be merciful or vengeful...? It's so hard to be good!

Ya know, I almost always do the hero thing but since I'm not a fan of Delsin I might end up being evil. Hopefully this game shows us what the generation has in store.

I want that Neon power!

Really interesting that "second son" is very nearly the principal title of the game and not "Infamous". I expect a significant evolution for this series, and frankly that bodes very well for Sony's other games transitioning to ps4...

I like the new #4theplayers campaign... as far as Second Son goes, all I can say is: "System Seller."

I never got into the first two. This one I'll be pre-ordering (digital) this week. Looks amazing!

FWIW, to me, Killzone is really the first next gen title though, at least graphically. So pretty!

It looks fan-tas-tic.

But here's hoping they've also boosted other parts of the game. In particular the AI. The first two games had a horrible AI, pretty much every enemy seemed to more or less use the same very basic logic. That lead to very repetitive battles. I actually never got to finish Infamous 2 for that reason: I just grew tired of it.

But damn man - it looks FAN-TAS-TIC.

Its surprising how much Sucker Punch stepped up since infamous 1. Anyone remember how repetitive the environment looks back then? The developer even admitted how they purposely made the maps hexagonal for easier/faster development. NOW, look how impressive every detail is. They came a long way.

-Side note, i hate it when people still use next generation describe current gen. PS4 is no longer next gen!!

It does seem to be a standard usage, for a year or two or three I remember Ps3/360 still being called "next gen". I'm with you though, we should call them current gen and the others last gen.

I worry about people tooting something as next gen. I mean, if Sucker Punch is saying it then I would believe them. Like ND, as far as I am concerned, they put a lot of quality in to their games with each... next gen.

Looks great, action awesome, and the story looks good and would like to see where it goes.

The BAD thing about playing this game is and its really ANNOYING! I can't play it cuz I do not have a PS4! :(

<< Quietly leaves the room. Sound of sobbing in the bathroom. Toilet flushes. Comes back>>

I envy those that get it. I will be watching from the sidelines to what everyone things of it after release. Enjoy!

Keep playing!

It'll be hard to lay off the ps4 because of this title. I loved Cole's story arc and like the new direction in this one. I'm also glad there's very little out on story details. I expect SP to take us on a wild ride with lots of surprises.
