PlayStation Now Beta Leak Featuring Killzone 3 Gameplay

The PlayStation Now beta is in full swing, and participants are able to test out a few great titles.

One of them is Killzone 3, and a leaked video of his session with PS Now is online; check it out below. The actual gameplay runs between 3:30 and 6:50.

You can also see how Now will work: You boot the service from the PSN tab on the XMB, and that launches into an app designed to resemble the PlayStation Store. The available games include the titles listed in the link above, along with Dead or Alive 5. In this case, the user selects Killzone 3, checks the Internet connection, and then starts streaming. It takes about a minute to reach the game's normal loading menus, which really isn't bad at all.

Now is scheduled to roll out in the US later this summer.

When Now comes to PS4 I might get excited. I think it has potential but PS3 is so slow when it comes to opening its own menus. Especially that horrible version of the PS store that replaced the one that actually worked.

I have played Killzone 2 and I'm currently playing Killzone: SF nad I must say that the stories are not all that great so I'm wondering if KZ3 is even worth purchasing down the line.

I love the Killzone universe so may be biased but in my opinion K2 has the better story (and it has Visari) but K3 focuses on the Helghast more. I would have both games in my collection. K3 is pretty cheap now and certainly worth a playthrough or two.

I thought Killzone 2 was awesome, both the single player and the multiplayer.
The story and scenes in KZ2 were very cool, with the exception of annoying Rico, of course.

I have Shadow Fall, but I haven't opened it yet. Waiting to finish up a few more PS3 games first.

I personally found KZ3's plot lacking, it took a weird shift in tone from 2. However, I did find some of the combat more satisfying and the multiplayer was superb.

strange there testing this on ps3, i thought they would be testing it on ps4 first.
i mean whats the point of testing ps3 games on ps3s?
whos going to use this service when there using their ps3?
unless your too lazy to get of your fat a$$ and go buy it!
should of tried this on ps4 first especially considering theres nothing released for the ps4 yet so id be the perfect way to get people using their paperweight!
not to mention thats where its going to be used most considering its not backwards compatible.

This video only indicates that someone with a PS3 was given access to the PSNow Beta. Sony is certainly testing it on the PS4.

The PS3 would be a better way to test the strain the service has on the network since it has a much larger install base and less powerful network hardware. Perfect it on the PS3 and the PS4 should be cake.
