Battlefield 4 Server Rental Option Soon Coming To Consoles
If you play Battlefield 4 on PC, you already have the option to rent a servier for the multiplayer portion of the game.
Now, though, publisher Electronic Arts has confirmed that console players will soon have the same option. In an update on the Battlelog, an EA representative confirmed:
"Indeed, it is coming. I'm afraid we don't have any information on this quite yet, but it is coming soon!"
PC players can rent a BF4 server for a fee, which varies depending on duration and provider. There was a similar feature for Battlefield 3 for both PC and consoles, so to have this option available for the new title is no huge surprise. As a server administrator, you can set the match rules, make your server private or public, configure the available maps, modes and weapons, and perhaps the most appealing aspect: You can choose who to boot, ban or mute when playing.
But please, be a man...don't just kick someone out because they're better than you.
