Oddworld: New 'n Tasty Gameplay Video: So Very Pretty!

It was one of the most accomplished titles for the original PlayStation, and it'll soon return with a fresh coat of glossy paint.

The award-winning Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey is coming back as Oddworld: New 'n Tasty, a high-definition overhaul from developer Just Add Water. And now, we've got a new gameplay trailer from the Game Developers Conference.

As you can see, it really is beautiful. That doesn't come as any huge shock to me, though, as Oddworld was one of the best-looking video games of the late 90s. It was way ahead of its time in a number of ways, so it should pass the "test of time" test with flying colors. When watching this pretty gameplay, bear in mind that they need to sell 500,000 copies if there's any hope of a true Oddworld sequel in the new generation.

Let's make it happen!

This looks gorgeous. I'll be buying it, not only to help reach that sales figure but because these games are really fun.

Count me in! I wonder if they will implement the extra controls that were in Exodus though.

Twas handy for calling a bunch of the lads together rather than having to call them seperately.

Still one of the best games ever made.

For anyone that never played it, seriously it's worth a try. Pick up and play platformer with mind control ability. What more could you want?
