PS4 Gets Pre-Loading Feature In April
This is a feature that could prove very useful to hardcore gamers.
According to inFamous: Second Son developer Sucker Punch, PlayStation 4 owners will be able to pre-load titles at the start of next month. That's pretty damn soon.
The studio made this announcement on their Twitter page:
"No preload on PS4 until April and for North America, the PS Store will update at midnight PSTůso 3am EST."
Officially, Sony hasn't revealed details for pre-loading functionality on their new system, but it's likely that Sucker Punch knows what they're talking about. For the record, this feature isn't available on the Xbox One yet, either, although PC gamers have enjoyed pre-loading for a while, as both Steam and Origin lets users start playing their downloaded games after midnight on launch day.
I'm not sure I'd ever be quite that anticipatory but hey, some people just can't wait.
