Will PlayStation Finally Get The Witcher Next Generation?
Thus far, The Witcher has only been available to PC and Xbox 360 players, which is unfortunate for RPG aficionados who game only on the PS3.
But maybe developer CD Projekt RED is looking to branch out in the next generation, as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been officially announced as coming in 2014 to the PC and "high-end platforms." ...well, the PS4 would qualify as a "high-end platform," would it not?
As revealed by Game Informer, it appears that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was a source of inspiration for the developer, as Geralt's third adventure will be more open-ended and won't feature acts and chapters. In fact, the world will actually be about 20% bigger than Skyrim (which sounds daunting, to say the least) and they claim it'll take 40 minutes to traverse the entire map from one end to the other...and that's only if you're riding a horse.
Plus, a new version of the proprietary RED engine boasts new streaming technology that will minimize load times. As for the game's quests, they're being utilized in a three-tier structure with Geralt's main objective sitting at the top and then feeding into the invasion of Nilfgaardian, and then into simpler missions that might involve monster hunting. The latter should prove to be more in-depth, by the way, and CD Projekt will be tweaking other things, such as skill trees, magic signs and inventory.
So here's hoping that when they announce the intended platforms for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the PS4 will be included.

Also, even *more* exciting than the Witcher is their next RPG project. THAT looks good.
I am ecstatic that we get this developer over to our platform with the next gen!

they cant work on cyberpunk, the witcher 3 for all platforms, and work on restoring 1 and 2 for the ps4.
for the sake of the very small percentage of people who own the ps4 who will purchase it.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
