Evolve 4v1 Trailer Puts Intense Co-Op Gameplay On Display

It's a game that seeks to build upon the core concepts of a shooter, and implement a fresh sense of strategy and cooperation.

In Turtle Rock's Evolve, it's a 4 vs. 1 match, during which four warriors must work together to take down one massive monster. All five entities are controlled by human players, which makes the experience infinitely more immersive and dynamic.

Now, we've got a new trailer that puts the co-op goodness in the limelight. It's a wicked intense experience and while it's still a first-person shooter, the added strategy should set it apart. If you want to learn more, check out our recent preview; Evolve is slated to land on next-gen consoles later this year and it's one of the more promising titles for 2014.

Wow, I hope this is good. Makes me think of Left 4 Dead. This has the chance to be amazing. I like what I see and cannot wait to play it.

I like the concept but I get the feeling it might do better with realism instead of Duke Nukem silliness.

I prefer the traditional, players versus NPC kind of coop gameplay.

Yup, or Borderlands, or Saints Row, or... Well pretty much every coop game. :)

Yeah I also like the co-op in the games already mentioned, Resistance 2 I've played more in co-op of, but this may be an interestingly innovative way of playing. It seems like it could be a neat addition to the formula. I'm curious to see more of it and to try it out sometime; as it stands now it's probably something I want in my collection. If it's online online only though I may not be as enthused, but I'll try to keep an open mind about it until it's launched and more details are known. If I were to even get it, it probably wouldn't be for a while after launch anyway. :)

i think the fact that it's entirely player controlled is a great thing and will ultimately drive its success
