Insider: Uncharted 4 Gameplay At E3

We're all hoping that the new Uncharted will be a staple of Sony's E3 press conference this year.

And if industry insider Tidux is right, the hotly anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive will indeed be prominently featured. In fact, it looks like Sony will be ready to show off some gameplay in June! Here's what Tidux had to say on Twitter:

"Uncharted 4 gameplay at E3. Game has been in the works for almost 3 years."

Of course, as this is hardly official, you should take it with a grain of salt. There's also no way of confirming if Uncharted 4 has really been in development for nearly three years. It definitely seems plausible but until we hear from either Sony or Naughty Dog, we can only classify this guy's reports as "rumor."

He added, however, that he's hearing "a lot of mixed signals" concerning Driveclub. That, I believe, unfortunately.

Well, gameplay of UC4 would do a lot to quench many gamers thirst for more info on exclusives - and maybe help soften the blow if DC is not in good shape. We'll see.

No matter what though, UC4 gameplay would definitely be a highlight for me! I hope this part, at least, is true.

I think drive club will be a flop, that is if it releases after The Crew

when they say development, it could've been just casting and script writing, not always coding.

Well the ICE team would have been the first ones with a PS4

Me too, but I don't expect them to. I'm sure it will be more of the same, only even slicker visuals.

But that's fine! "Never change a winning team" they say. And with todays landscape of gaming only turning more and more open and "free", we need these old concepts to the mix. Diversity wins!

There will be plenty to get you cited!
With neil druckmann as the new creative director uncharted should be going in some unique directions.

Well I'll be playing no matter what I love the characters and writing and action, but I'm hoping for that something special that makes you go "Hey this is a new tack, imagine how that could turn out!"

I hate these trade shows, they make you wait like crazy to know what's in the works.I mean were in the internet age. What's the problem posting a gameplay video on the Internet?

Well lets see what they've learned after the last of us gameplay wise.

A slow drip of information isn't the best way to create hype, you want occasional bursts of excitement where crowds collect to make headlines and establish press connections. Those vids will show up on the net at the same time they do at the shows.

I hear they're going the doom 3 route with this game. No pesky story or dialogue to get in the way. It's gonna be a featured sport in the MGL. I can't wait for Uncharted Tournament

Actually it's not entirely normal as Spike's VG awards previously held the honor.

no way that would mean it would be a year between the teaser trailer and the first gameplay footage that would be insane!
not to mention everyone has their fingers crossed it will be out by the VGAs.
probably not realistic, especially since TLoU is coming to ps4, but id certainly be nice.
not to mention the uncharteds, and TLoU, have always seen their first big showing at E3, its only right the tradition continues.
TLoU was revealed at the VGAs, but just as a short teaser trailer, just like uncharted ps4.
and we had to wait till E3 the following year to see the game in action, so its pretty obvious were going to see the same this year.

In related news, it seems that yet another Naughty Dog employee has left, the art director.
Wtf is happening over there?

I'm not sure. I can't figure out if this is normal or if it's a problem. The reason I can't figure it out is because they had similar scenarios at the turn of PS2 to PS3, as did other Sony studios.

And if it is a bad thing, is it culture related or money related? (Not getting along vs. talented enough to make more elsewhere. They did go to EA, afterall, didn't they?)

Maybe their contracts are up for renegotiation at each generation shift or something along those lines?
I really have no idea... Would be interesting if some insider could explain thist stuff to us. Especially if there's nothing unusual about this then what harm could it be to do so?

This is one area where some of that investigative journalism would be useful, sadly nobody is willing to pay game journalists enough to go out and do the work required to find all that out.

I enjoyed Uncharted 1, 2 & 3 but I personally didn't find it "amazing". Interestingly enough I found Tomb Raider: DE (PS4) the better game but then again that's just ME.

TR was defo better than UC3, but imo something like Tomb Raider wouldn't have been possible without the groundbreaking effect UC2 had on gaming and other devs when it released.

Tomb raider was'nt a tomb raider game!
UC3 was better in every way plus the lead character was'nt an annoying c*#t.
In my humble opinion that is!

Methinks Tomb Raider reboot couldn't be a Tomb Raider game, not enough folks want that form of gameplay anymore for it to be successful.
