The Girl And The Robot Now PS4-Bound

Here's a charming little game that might pique your interest.

If you're unfamiliar, Flying Carpet Games - comprised of former EA and Gameloft employees - has a new project in the works. It's called The Girl and the Robot and it'll probably remind some of you of the iconic ICO.

At first, the Kickstarter project was originally slated for the Wii U and Steam. But now, as you can see, they say the new title is coming to Sony's PlayStation 4 as well, even though they don't yet have a solidified release date. They do intend to give us this co-op-inspired title before the end of the year.

Check out the potential fairy-tale goodness below if you haven't already.

I see why it's being compared to ICO, but it seems like a soulless adaptation of that classic's formula because of the ability to switch characters and the apparent focus on combat. I wish the developers all the best, but there is no way that this will be seeing any of my cash.

This looks lame. Designs look like early PS2 ---Eternal Ring anyone?---.

Animations remind me of Guardian's Crusade, which gives it a classic charm.

Nice music though. Good on the programmers because I wouldn't be able to succeed in a kick start.
