Battlefield 4 Faces A New Problem, Will This Ever End?
The problems that have plagued Battlefield 4 since launch still haven't been resolved.
Despite numerous updates and patches, developer DICE is still facing several lingering issues. As Game Informer reports, it has been 178 days since BF4 hit store shelves and the game isn't yet stable.
The current problem involves "rubber-banding," which shows up as slow or stalled movement by the character, only to be followed by a "catching-up" speed. It has been happening a lot lately, apparently, and DICE has installed a "high-performance server solution" that should help. Studio vice president and general manager Karl Magnus Troeddson says that performance in 64-player matches continues to improve, which is good news.
Unfortunately, it's too little too late for some gamers. A friend of mine has already traded in BF4 saying simply, "eh, it's just broken." He was patient for a while but at this point, it's getting ridiculous.
