Wolfenstein: The New Order "Stealth vs. Mayhem" Trailer

In a game like Wolfenstein: The New Order, you might not expect to find much stealth.

But it's all in how you decide to play.

Bethesda sent over a new trailer today, and it's called "Stealth vs. Mayhem." In the first part of the video, a laid-back music track accompanies some quick yet silent stealth action. The player takes out opponents with a knife and a silenced pistol and while it doesn't look particularly challenging, it still looks fun.

Then we switch to a faster tempo and some dual-wielding chaotic action. Enemies fall before the superior firepower of BJ Blazkowicz (still the coolest name in gaming today) and that looks like fun, too. Wolfenstein: The New Order is slated to drop on May 20 and if you're looking for a simple, straightforward FPS that pulls no punches, this is the game for you. To learn more, check out our preview.

Cool, i like the stealth (hope they keep the ability to torch cut holes in steel walls for sniping) but it'll probably turn into a blast fest for me.

However, May 20 is for Drakenguard 3

I'm so stoked for Drakenguard 3 man. I keep forgetting about it though. Which means one day it will show up in the mail and I will squeal with joy because I didn't anticipate its arrival.

Same here, I dunno why but it slipped off my rader a few times. Maybe cuz I preordered from Square Enix instead of Amazon. I wanted the Nier costumes.

Can't wait for the reviews on this one. There is so much potential for an awesome story out of the Wolfenstein plot. I doubt they will use it to it's full potential, but the gameplay is looking worth it alone. It's almost looks like the closest thing to Kill Zone since KZ:3

ooooo, love the throwing knife for stealth kills one thing that always really bugs me about stealth games!
really comes in handy that way even if there are other enemies in the area who see the dead body who cares they did not see you because your further away.
wish all stealth games were like this!
that said though, theres only ONE way this game should be played!
running, gunning, big explosions with copious amounts of blood, oh and dont forget the obligatory silly sliding on the floor rushing towards enemies filling their faces with bullets!
may the mayhem begin!
