PS4 Controller Prototype Image Shows Off Headphone Jack
At least this seems more feasible; the one without the analog sticks was just ridiculous.
Digital Foundry has Tweeted a new image of the possible PlayStation 4 controller.
It looks a lot like the standard Dual Shock, only with what seems to be a headphone jack built in and that front touch pad, which may function much like the rear touch-pad on the PlayStation Vita. The images we've been seeing have been dubbed prototypes so the final design might look a little different; hopefully, it looks sleeker and a little less...cheap. Maybe that's a bad word to use when describing the pictures we've seen thus far, but even the believable ones look like a slightly fancier gamepad from the 16-bit days.
It just doesn't scream "next-gen" to me, you know?

The other side of that is, a lot of these headset use rca cables and usb ports, and I do see a USB cable, but theres a possibility some types of headphones cant be used.

All Sony needs to do is package a basic wired headset with every console, something they should have been doing with the PS3, and all of our problems would be solved, (or perhaps more will be created by being able to hear every whiny 12 year old?). Oh yeah, that's what the mute function is for, LOL.
OT: Sony should include an HDMI cable with every system as well, especially now that Nintendo is doing it with the Wii U.

This is actually a stroke of genius. Have you ever played something like a shooter in coop locally? It's very confusing cause then you don't know whose sound you hear from what direction.
With each their own headsets the sound could be relative to the location of each player ingame.

I am fine (and have been for the last 15 years that they have existed) with the layout of the sticks, but I REALLY would LOVE to see Sony go full-on concave with a slight lip around the rim for the new Dualshock controller (or whatever it will be called).
When I get into a game, and I mean in the zone, my hands sweat a bit and my thumbs like to slide around on the standard convex sticks.
Boy, FPS Freek would be absolutely gutted if Sony made some good concave sticks as standard issue, wouldn't they?

i just hope its more rounded and fitted to the hand than what the DS3 is!
i had to stop buying all my MP games for the 360 because every time i went to play a ps3 game id instantly get hand cramps because the controllers about as comfortable to hold as that needle ball from resident evil!
