The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Dated, New E3 Trailer Is Wicked Epic

All sorts of good news for hardcore role-playing fans!

First and foremost, according to developer CD Projekt Red's latest live stream (via GameSpot), they finally revealed the official launch date for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: February 24, 2015.

They also showed off the game's box art and as the developer later confirmed, the contents seen in that picture are part of the standard edition. Yep, you get all that (game map, stickers, soundtrack, Witcher Universe Compendium, and game manual) just for buying the regular version, although there will be a Collector's Edition.

Last but not least, here's the E3 trailer a few days before everything kicks off. If this doesn't get your blood pumping, absolutely nothing will.

Beam you will get to "play with her" if you know what I mean ;)

Geralt is actually a really cool character world, I know he isn't the type of character you tend to go for and he wasn't for me either. But he grew on me over the course of the first and second game and now I love the heck out of him.

Middle of february is a *perfect* time to release a new game. It's long enough after the holiday rush to be done with the christmas presents, perfect time for a new big RPG.

pfffffft, thats not next gen.
now THIS, is next gen!
so excited for this, the witcher 2 is still to this day, many many years after release, still one of the best looking games out there!
one of the best most detailed adventure games out there too!
i hope they expand on the combat system though, one thing thats always pissed me off about adventure games.
why do they always have to have boring basic combat systems?
why cant you have a adventure game with a amazingly complex but fun combat system like ninja gaiden?
why do adventure games combat always have to be so simple and boring?
take the witcher 2, give it a massive varied weapon library like kingdoms of amalur reckoning, and a flowing rhythmic combat system like castlevania lords of shadow, and it would be THE PERFECT game!
finally we would have a game that really is the second coming, not just hyped up to be so!

This trailer gets me so pumped up.

This is probably the last trailer I watch in fact the last media I look at for the game until its released.

I want to go into this game blind.
