Here's Why We Didn't See The Last Guardian At E3
While many were hoping to see The Last Guardian during Sony's E3 press conference, it didn't happen.
Why? It's quite simply not ready. Head of PlayStation software product development Scott Rohde told GameSpot that while the past week has been entertaining (referring to the cancellation rumors), Sony still needs to insure the "creative process:"
"It was a fun week of Last Guardian news. At PlayStation, it's really important to us to make sure that the creative process works. And in this case, [game director Fumito Ueda] has created something that's great, it's just going to need some time. We'll show it when it's ready."
After being announced back in 2009 as a PS3 exclusive, most are assuming that Guardian is now in development as a PS4 exclusive. Rohde wouldn't confirm that, though, as he's obviously only interested in telling everyone that the game isn't canceled. That's nice and all but after so many years, I think we deserve something, don't you?
Maybe they're saving it for the Tokyo Game Show in September, or something...
