EA Invites You To Play The Hardline Beta For One More Week

Earlier this week, Bungie extended the Destiny alpha test and now, Visceral Games is doing the same with the Battlefield: Hardline beta.

As revealed at the Battlefield blog, the current test will run for another week; now, it won't disappear until Thursday, June 26 at 12:00 p.m. PDT.

If you haven't yet gotten in on the fun and you're willing to play on a PlayStation 4 or PC, go ahead and sign up. If you really can't participate on either platform, Electronic Arts has an open beta test planned for this fall for all targeted platforms. Here's a statement from the publisher:

"The team at Visceral Games would like to thank those that have participated in the Battlefield Hardline closed beta. We've seen some incredible feats demonstrated on the virtual streets of LA--everything from massive breach charge explosions and intense heists to criminals riding shotgun and cops banding together to protect vaults. All of your time spent in game and feedback shared with us will help shape Battlefield Hardline over the coming months."

From what I've heard, shooter aficionados are enjoying the beta quite a bit. Is this the rejuvenation the franchise needed after last year's bug-ridden Battlefield 4?

Hardline is just a cash grab attempt by EA, at best this should be dlc for BF4, not a $70 game.

I'm trying to sign-up for the beta but the site won't let me because they're having "technical difficulties" with the Battlefield Hardline website right now.... yah, not a good sign of things to come

It's fun, but it feels more like a mod then an individual game itself. This will be the first Battlefield game I pass on in the series history.

Same. Just after Battlefield 3 and 4 got me hooked on the series, I will miss this one.

Seems like Destiny and Call of Duty Advanced Warfare will be my FPS games to keep me interested for the next year.

People are enjoying it? Really?

Most of the people I have spoken to say it feels like a shitty DLC for BF4.

I played it for a few hours and didn't interest me at all, I just couldn't have fun in the game.

And I am a huge fan of BF3 and BF4.

The problem is, you can't REALLY say that this game is refreshing, because it literally takes about 80% of what Battlefield 4 was, and chucks cops and robbers into it. The menu's, the system, how it all works, everything is the same. It just have different gadgets and a few different guns. And hardly any interesting vehicles at all.

Guess I shouldn't worry about getting in on the beta after what you guys are saying.

I'm just peeved as a longtime BF player that I signed up twice for it have not received a beta code, and they send one out of the blue to a friend of mine who's only played bf4 a couple times and does not participate in online play.

Major fail EA. Way to support and encourage your longtime supporters.
