New And Improved Guacamelee! Almost Ready For PS4

It's almost time to bring one of the previous generation's best digital titles into the next generation.

Developer Drinkbox Studios has confirmed that the acclaimed Guacamelee! will launch for the PlayStation 4 on July 1, and for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Wii U on July 2. The cost will be $14.99.

This 2D beat-'em-up game got plenty of rave reviews when it first released, and it remains one of the most beloved digital games available. The version heading to the PS4 is the Super Turbo Championship Edition, which features a bunch of additions and improvements. Players will get new story content, new awesome abilities and all new areas to explore. Check out the list:

  • Expanded Story – An expanded version of the game that includes new content and all DLC from the original

  • New Game Areas – Players will ride boats through the Canal of Flowers to save a besieged fishing town, and avoid lava as they climb through the fiery Volcano

  • New Boss – Face off against the deadly Trio of Death, a three-headed skeleton that lives in the Volcano, who helps the evil Carlos Calaca build his skeleton armies

  • New Abilities – Maximize destruction with the powerful new INTENSO combat mode and dish out scrambled pain with powerful Chicken Bombs. Plus, swap dimensions independently in co-op play using the new Shadow Swap ability.

  • New Enemies – Lethal new elite-class enemies that want to chokeslam luchadores to sleep

  • Support for multiple save slots

  • Dual currency system that supports permanent item unlocks

Not related but just an FYI the Steam summer sale is going on right now. If you love your wallet I don't suggest checking it out.

No I'm not, there are plenty of other users on here that play PC games. Now kiss my ring finger and apologize.

I only got Steam for BlazBlue and Skullgirls (Green Man Gaming sale say waaaaaat!).
And my graphics is only the King of Budget cards: Sapphire R7 265 lolz.

Other games I tried run INSANELY better than their console counterparts. I swear the loading times are on crack.
