Watch Dogs Will Be A PS4 Launch Title

The PlayStation Meeting is over and the PS4 is coming. One of the first titles for that system is absolutely one of the most anticipated games out there.

Ubisoft has revealed that Watch Dogs will be one of the launch titles for Sony's new PlayStation. The highly ambitious title is pushing the technological boundaries, and is currently in development at Ubisoft Montreal, with support from several other teams around the world. Lots of help is required!

Watch Dogs garnered all sorts of attention after debuting at E3 last year, and ended up with 83 awards and nominations. In the game, players assume the role of Aiden Pearce, a "new type of vigilante" who uses his special ability to hack into Chicago's central operating system and control most every aspect of the city. This means he has access to security cameras and can even download personal information to locate a specific target. Isn't it cool to be able to control traffic lights, thereby wreaking all sorts of vehicular havoc?

And this should be quite the experience on the PlayStation 4.

IF the PS4 is $400 AND Watch Dogs and inFamous Second Son are both available this holiday season I think that I would have to plunk down the cash.

Damn. I was hoping Watch Dogs would be on the ps3. I just know that the ps4 will be over-priced where I am. Still exciting though.

Actually ignore that last post, was there a chance that this will still be on the ps3 with that "coming to all home consoles" message a bit ago?

not necessarily.
manufactures have been able to run the show however they want this generation with the gov being so lackadaisical about it.
news last night $ony, apple, M$, ninty, EA, steam, and a few other companies have been ordered to appear in parliament to defend their price hikes here.
if they do not attend they face massive fines and possible jail time.
than there will be discussions whether the reasons given are justified.
point being the ridiculous markup we have seen on prices in AU will hopeful, FINALLY, come to a halt!

almost fainted a few years ago when i went to hawaii and saw the exact model laptop and TV i had purchased here weeks earlier for less than HALF the price!
my TV was 3800, sears which im told is a absolute rip off had it for 1200!
my laptop was 3.5K, and again same place price was 1400!
pathetic the mark ups manufactures slug us with!
yes taxes and such are ALLOT higher here, blah, blah, blah.
but there not THAT much higher!

This was the only game that interested me last night. Not just for being a decent action flick but it seems to have a very strong message about the problem of the progression of the digital age. If it still is released on the PS3 I'll get it but if I get a PS4 this would be the title I'd be interested in.

Grand theft what again? Seriously I want this more. GtaV needed gameplay shown. This looks so awesome. If I get a ps4 which depends on price and launch lineup(I'm basically sold) this will be a great launch title(ps4 and this are both
Slated for holiday). If not it'll look and play just fine on my ps3. This plus killzonr and or infamous would do it for me as a launch lineup.

ubisoft, i HATE you!
simply because the way you treat the PC, and what you have done to many of my beloved franchises!
and the way you have treated the wiiu, and rayman ledgends.
but god dam it, you know how to create a amazing awesome new IP!
ubisoft may be f*ckwitts, but my GOD do they have some amazingly talented developers!

It was showed as a ps3 title last year so it s really hard for me to get excited for it as a ps4 lauch title . Hard to see it as a next gen when their was a gameplay demo showed for the ps3 that looked practically the same .

Still look like an awesome game tho .

Do we know that demo showed the ps3 version? I find it extremely unlikely that it did.
