Watch All The Best PS4 Videos From The PlayStation Meeting
Yeah, you probably already saw it all. But if you didn't, or you simply want to see them all again, we're gonna make it easy for you. Say thank you.
Sony's 2+ hour PlayStation Meeting saw a whole lot of teaser videos and full trailers, and just about all of them are worth seeing. Square Enix's tech demo was great, too, but as we already saw it last year, we won't be including it here.
So here we go. First up is when they unveiled the new Dual Shock 4. You can read the full rundown as well, but it's nice to be able to see it. Slickly designed and obviously very capable, this thing is redefining the nature of the gamepad.
This is the full seven-minute presentation of Killzone: Shadow Fall, which is excellent (and that's an understatement). This is the next generation of first-person shooters, obviously. There's a lot to like and personally, I'm most impressed with the clarity and color saturation. However, if you're looking for the weighty feeling that disappeared after Killzone 2, I don't think you'll find it here. Oh well, still looks incredible.
Evolution Studios didn't reveal a new MotorStorm; instead, they surprised people by announcing DriveClub for the PS4. Utilizing ultra-realistic visuals and designed to capture the spirit of true driving competition, this one even lets players create their own clubs. It looks highly technical and could be absolute catnip for the racing/auto enthusiasts out there.
Sucker Punch was working on a new inFamous! But this one appears to include a few twists and turns, as it's both darker and more technically advanced than past iterations. This trailer generates plenty of questions and we imagine we'll learn more soon. I think my favorite part of this presentation was the introduction...that guy obviously loves his job and is very excited about this project.
Quantic Dream's David Cage is one of our industry's great visionaries, and he took the stage to show off his team's new PS4 engine. Not only is the technology impressive, but how Cage views interactive entertainment in general is inspiring. Quantic Dream is going to do some very cool things in the new generation, and I'm especially interested because they will undoubtedly explore virtual human emotion in a way that no other developer has done before.
Media Molecule didn't reveal a new LittleBigPlanet but perhaps that's inevitable at some point. Instead, they took the stage to show off their proficiency with the PlayStation Move, which will obviously be compatible with the PS4. They seem to have really embraced Sony's motion-sensing hardware, and they're doing some awesome things with it. Maybe this is the kind of thing that will force me to dust off the Move.
Capcom got in on the fun, unveiling a brand new next-gen engine for the PS4, dubbed "Panta Rhei." It was on display in this impressive trailer for a new IP called Deep Down, which is reminiscent of Dark Souls or Dragon's Dogma. The detailing and animation is just so crisp and flawless. It'll also be interesting to see how they approach the multiplayer aspect, as hinted at in the last few seconds of the trailer.
Bungie spent this past generation working with Microsoft and delivering excellent Halo games. Now they've teamed up with Activision, which automatically means that their next project will be multiplatform. That project is the highly ambitious "shared world" FPS known as Destiny, and it's coming to both the PS3 and PS4...in fact, both versions will launch at the same time. Here's Bungie's impact on the PlayStation Meeting.
It was just recently confirmed as a PS4 launch title and it'll definitely be one of the best games of the year. I'm pretty confident in saying that, especially considering what we've seen of this amazing effort thus far. Not only is the gameplay compelling, but the themes and story behind this adventure is also highly intriguing. It seems like the type of game you'll definitely want to play on next-gen hardware.
'whew' Did I miss anything?

I think it showed the power and sharing capabilities of the PS4, but I am not yet excited for it. I am hoping E3 they will announcement more bombshell titles. We're already aware that the Wii-U has some big plans and I need the PS4 to produce something to compete with the new Xenoblade otherwise I will switch.
