No Fewer Than 143 Studios Set To Make Games For The PS4

There's no point in having a great new piece of hardware if you don't have the software to support it, right?

But we probably don't have to worry about third-party support when it comes to the newly announced PlayStation 4. Sony has revealed the full list of 143 studios that are signed on to produce titles for the new console.

Alongside the big names like Activision, EA, Ubisoft, Capcom, Square Enix, 2K and Konami, there are smaller teams like Hello Games, Croteam, Arc System Works, Heavy Iron Studios, Panic Button and Roll7. View the entire list through the link above. And remember, this is only as of February 21; the console certainly isn't out yet and Sony has plenty of time to continue to recruit more development talent. Provided we've got all these great designers working to bring new and innovative titles to the PS4, the future ought to be bright.

However, who's willing to bet that the list of Vita supporters isn't anywhere near as long...?

Well technically, if the Vita really is Remote Play compatible with all PS4 games on day 1, all these developers are all ready working on the Vita ;)

Bethesda - Fallout 4
Platinum Games - Very interesting, maybe Bayonetta 2?
From Software - an Armored Core game?
Team 17 - Worms?
Lucasarts - Star Wars 1313
2K - Several sports titles
Konami - MGS:GZ
Rockstar - Maybe GTAV?

That's all the ones I can think of

Ninty is funding and publishing Bayonetta 2, so very very slim chance of seeing that on PS4 - Platinum do a heap of stuff though, and it's all good :).

Wii U's other exclusives are running away and maybe Ninty could make a buck on Bayo 2 if it got a Sigma style edition on PS4.

Part of me actually wants GTA V to be a PS4 game this fall season. I wouldn't mind waiting two more months for it. Does anyone else agree?

Well Square Enix says they will be developing for PS4, whether or not any of their games actually come out is another matter altogether.

Hopefully tri-Ace will make a Star Ocean 5 for the PlayStation 4.

Namco is on there, so here is hoping to an Ace Combat that's not been influenced by COD.

Missing Runic on that list. :(

(I am just so totally expecting the Torchlight franchise to expand to the PS4 too)

I would hope Rockstar would be working on a new Red Dead Redemption for PS4.

Awesome to know that the following developers are working on the PS4:
Level 5 - Dark Cloud 3? Rogue Galaxy 2? NNK 2? Or a new IP? Whatever, I love Level 5!
tri-Ace - Star Ocean 5?
Atlus - Persona 5!?
Namco Bandai - Generally brings great games.
Bethesda - Fallout 4? New IP?
Square Enix - Showed a video we saw about 1 year ago, and announced they'd show something at E3. Massive trollage. Still, my love for the company is still there.. I welcome a new FF. (or maybe it's Versus?)

Also, I'm 90% sure Rockstar's in there because they're releasing GTA5 on the PS4 as well.

Looking good, PS4. ;)
