Yes, Alien: Isolation Can Be Completed Without A Murder
See? True survival/horror!
When Alien: Isolation was revealed, and we learned it was more about horror (i.e., closer to the original film's roots as opposed to a boring ol' shooter), we were excited.
Now, to drive the point home, lead designer Guy Napper tells GamesTM that in fact, you can complete the upcoming thriller without killing anyone:
"You can get through the entire game without killing someone. It's something that was, not so much a challenge, but something I felt was what the character would do. We're talking about a member of the Ripley family--they're not like characters in games that gun down civilians because they're in the way to get to the switch."
Aliens aren't the only threat to Ripley and the gang, as you'll encounter other enemies as well. Napper said that if they relied on the "you versus the alien" concept the entire time, you'd get bored after only a few hours. He added that there's "actually a hell of a lot we do with the game that's really interesting," so it's sounding more and more intriguing, isn't it?
Alien: Isolation is slated to drop on October 7. The only problem with that date is that several other big-name titles share the same launch day, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, for example.
