PSXE Poll Update: Everyone's Lovin' The Destiny Beta

The Destiny beta test will end in a few days and clearly, many of you will be disappointed.

Yeah, now you're counting the days until September 9, aren't you? According to the results of our latest poll, the majority of readers said the Destiny beta is "awesome" and they can't wait to play the finalized product.

This isn't necessarily a surprise, as a great many gamers really appear to enjoy the beta for Bungie's upcoming open-world shooter. However, it's important to note that traditionally, PSXE is not a shooter-happy coummunity; we've got FPS fans, but that's hardly the genre of choice 'round these parts. Having such a high percentage of our readership respond so favorably to this beta is a good sign for Bungie and Activision.

This week, let's find out: Who's got the Wii U? Sales are on the upswing (especially in Japan), and it could very well be the perfect supplement to the PlayStation 4. Next week, we'll ask how many of you have the Xbox One, so then we can do a little compare-and-contrast...

Well I need to know if Natural Doctrine is good first before any purchases because I'm considering getting Destiny to do a writing chronicle: Destiny: The Saga of a Multiplayer Hater.

I saw Wii U at Target, its kinda like the Dreamcast reborn. Still I don't want one, that controller is freaking jacked.

Nintendo is finally adding an addon that will allow people to us Gamecube controllers with the Wii-U should be out before Smash Bros. launches.

Also Wii-U was the Dreamcast at first but it is beginning to look like it still has a shot.

Also Dreamcast was sort of the opposite it had great games but still failed, blame the beast that was the PS2. Wii-U was just all around failing.

Also in regards to Natural Doctorine Famitsu gave it a 31/40 which seeing as they almost always overrate home-turf games is worrisome.

Here is a review of an imported copy that gave the game a 4/10. The the reasons given aren't the best. Seems like if you don't mind hard slow battles you should be fine.

I never bought a Wii. But I did buy the Wii U. I played a game for the Wii, on my Wii U, called The Last Story. It was GREAT RPG you guys would love it.

There is also another great rpg I just started called XENOBLADE for the Wii that I am now playing on my Wii U.

Not to mention you can go back and buy great old rpgs and strategy rpgs from the good old days of Nintendo for the system. Say like for the N64, there was a game called Ogre Battle 64 I never got around to playing and bought it.

The problem with all this glory is you have to have a Wii controller AND Wii classic controller to play many of them. That is another 60 bucks in accessories.

@ethird
You just reminded me have you seen any of the trailers or videos for the new Xenoblade!? It looks absolutely amazing and may end up being the best JRPG of the past few years.

I liked the last poll that showed no one really wants the uncharted remakes, ON WITH THE NEW IPS!

I would totally take a remake of the 1st one it could really use it. The others are fine, though I wouldn't complain about a complete trilogy on the PS4 you have to remember the amount of Xbox converts we are receiving.

Except if you look at the poll history, it shows most people do want a remake of some kind. Link's over there --->

59% to 41%

Yeah, the Wii U controller feels weird. SO many reasons not to get a Wii U, but ever since Mario Kart came out for it recently, my wife wants one.

Sooo...I'll probably be getting a Wii U.

*sigh*

I hope they got some good JRPG's on the way.

I played Mario Kart 8 the other day with a friend the other day. I didn't use the pad, but the other controller that looks like an xbox controller worked alright. I didn't like the d-pad that. Very very clicky. I don't know who was thinking what with that one.

Oh, the game was very fun by the way, and the online gameplay worked very well. I don't know if playing with your friends is still a problem, but I experienced no lag what so ever.

I might end up grabbing a Wii-U eventually but ugh I wish it would get another price drop maybe I can find a cheap one used I just CANNOT see myself paying the current price for one.
Smash Bros. is super tempting and if the new Zelda doesn't disappoint that would definitely be a system seller, the robot at the end of the trailer just really worries me.

I can't wait for Destiny to come out. I played a bit with my nephew and we had a blast. I also tried it out on the X1 once they opened the beta up to everyone as I wanted to see if I could see any difference (I didn't see much difference). The warlock is a fun class to play, though I did enjoy messing around with the titan class some.

I want one. Still wish I had a Wii, actually. But I don't even have enough time to get to all my PS3 games, so it's tough to justify a purchase.

I just finished Super Mario Galaxies 2 with my kids. It was fun stuff and I'm glad my Wii is still around.

There's an outside chance I'll get one during Christmas time.
Otherwise I think next year will be a lock.
