New Assassin's Creed: Unity Vid Gives Critics What They Want
See? We told you that Ubisoft simply had to reveal a female character.
And so they have.
Okay, so she's not playable, but she's obviously an important female character in Assassin's Creed: Unity. Her name's Elise and she's on display in a brand new trailer for the upcoming blockbuster.
Here, protagonist Arno races toward an execution, where it appears his goal is to rescue the last victim in line: A woman, who will be prominently featured throughout the plot. She also wears the Templar cross and Arno teams up with her, as the two prepare to fight the French soldiers who surround them. The press release says Elise is "an independent young noblewoman determined to secure her place in the Templar dynasty amidst the chaos of the French revolution."
It also seems she will establish an "unlikely" bond with Arno. Was Elise always part of the story? Or is this merely a reaction to everyone freaking out over Ubisoft not including a woman character in the game? You decide.
